Evernote is one of the most popular note-taking platforms around, but it's been a while since the company unveiled any big updates — since a dark mode was introduced back in 2018, to be precise. Over the last few months, though, Evernote has been rebuilding its app across platforms, and now it's the Android app's time to shine with a fresh new look and some handy features.
WhatsApp's design may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but it's still among the most used messengers in the world. It doesn't look like we're getting a full redesign anytime soon, but at least the company has announced that it's introducing a few new wallpapers along with the option to customize backgrounds for individual chats. It's now also easier to find stickers — they're becoming searchable with text and emoji.
Google has taken down the Assistant-integrated AutoVoice Action again, for the second time in a year. This time, the company claims the action "promotes content that advocates hate or violence or promotes discrimination," apparently because someone in Germany stringed together a clearly custom command that made the Assistant spout off some hate speech.
Welcome to the roundup of the new Android games that went live in the Play Store or were spotted by us in the previous week or so. Today's list is broken up into several segments, ranging from best, average, to mediocre game releases from the last week. So whether you're looking for the best games of quality or are simply looking for the latest free-to-play gacha titles, you're covered. This week I have the arrival of Football Manager 2021 Mobile, a delightful board game from Plug in Digital, and a unique and simplified brick break where you're only tasked with breaking walls.
It's one thing to carry around a battery to keep your phone charged for an extra day or two, and you could certainly shop some options for that with Anker's Black Friday sale, but what if you want to keep ALL your gear charged up? Let's talk about the Jackery Power Station Explorer, a series of huge batteries designed to power your phones, laptops, TVs, and sure, you might even charge a car battery if push comes to shove (note: not intended for jumping a car). All three sizes are on sale today for your serious charging needs.
It looks like 5G is the standard of choice in a galaxy far, far away, as Google and Lucasfilm have teamed up to create a Mandalorian AR experience that is only available on 5G Pixel phones and "other select 5G Android" handsets. Interestingly enough, you don't actually need to be on a 5G connection to get in on the fun, and when we sideloaded the app to older, 4G-only phones, we noticed that the experience is running just fine.
As promised last week, Roborock's first round of Black Friday deals are here! Right now, you can pick up the flagship S6 MaxV for $599.99 ($150 off) or an S6 Pure for $359.99 ($240 off) at Amazon.
