No, it's not an April Fool prank, as far as we're aware. Sprint and Verizon are taking pre-orders for the LG G5 starting today, and it will be officially available on April 1st. You have your choice of monthly payments, a contract, or just buying it outright for $576 on Sprint. Verizon only has payment plans, and the full price phone is a little more expensive. Read More
A bunch of LG phones have been upgraded to Android 6.0 over the last few weeks, and today it's the Verizon V10's version. According to Verizon's support page, at least: the company says it's now sending the over-the-air update to customers, though of course it could be a few days or even a week or two before it reaches every device. Software version VS99022A adds Marshmallow and... well, not much else. It's just Android 6.0 with LG's software skin on top. Read More
The LG G5 is coming. Judging from this weekend's poll, quite a few of you are dead set on buying this phone as soon as you get the chance. For those of you on AT&T, that time is now. The carrier has started accepting pre-orders for the phone, which will become available in stores starting April 1st. Read More
Things did not go as planned for LG with the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, which was originally supposed to come out late last year. A hardware defect caused the company to halt the release and bring the watch back to the drawing board. Now, it's ready to go again and AT&T will let you pre-order one right now. Read More
The LG G5 has some cool stuff going on with it. It has those swappable battery packs that lend the phone new powers, a powerful processor, QC 3.0 with a USB Type C plug, dual rear cameras, and a host of funky accessories. The one thing it doesn't have is a compelling price tag (it's also dog-ugly IMO). I'll tell you what does have a great price though, the unlocked LG G4 that's on sale right now on eBay for a paltry $289.99. That's less than half the price of the G5 for those of you keeping score.
If value is the most important factor in your phone-buying decision, then it's hard to find many more enticing options than the G4. Read More
I don't consider unboxing videos to be a particularly exciting form of entertainment, but at least they give you an idea what to expect when you bring a gadget home. Well, not all of them fit this mold. T-Mobile's latest video shows employee Des unboxing the LG G5 in the passenger seat of a rally car. Read More
If having extreme battery life is more important to you than having a phone that fits comfortably in your pocket, Mophie has you covered. It produces extended battery cases for phones that make them monstrously huge, and the G4 Juice Pack is on sale for $10 in AT&T stores. That's down from $100. Read More
The LG Watch Urbane launched at a starting price of $350. For that amount of money, you got one of the most attractive smartwatches on the market at the time. Nearly a year later, it remains one of the best Android Wear devices you can buy.
Except now it's much cheaper. Read More
We've got an LG G5! But we can't review it. Because it's not done yet. LG has sent along a pre-production global version of the phone for us to "preview," so I'd like to know what you want to know about it. Questions about build, speed, software, and general thoughts about certain things are great! Questions about benchmarks, specific camera performance, and very specific battery life are much harder to answer just yet. Read More
