Easter Is Here! For Angry Birds, At Least

Yesterday we showed you the trailer for Angry Birds Seasons: Easter Eggs, noting that the expected update should hit the Market some time this week. I guess for Rovio Mobile, "some time this week" translates to "first thing Monday morning" - it's available for download now.

The update adds 15 new levels, as well as 3 bonus levels and tons of Easter Eggs, so head over to the Android Market and grab it.

Rovio: Angry Birds Will Get Cross-Platform Syncing Before Summer

You know what I hate? Having to start over from the beginning of Angry Birds every time I flash a new ROM. I won't have to deal with that for much longer, though - according to the official Twitter page of Rovio Mobile, they're working on the greatest thing to happen to Angry Birds since the slingshot. Yes, I'm talking about syncing.

Once it's finished and unleashed to the world, each time you flash a new ROM, get a new device, or even switch platforms altogether (I'm looking at you iOS crossovers), you will be able to take all of your current bird tossing accomplishments with you.

9 Innings Baseball Brings Awesome, Statistically Correct Gameplay To Your Phone

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of baseball. Naturally, I don't spend a lot of time digging through the Android Market looking for the next great baseball game to spend some time with. However, every once in a while someone will share an app with me that catches my attention, regardless of what it's about. That's exactly what happened this weekend with Com2Us's 9 Innings: Pro Baseball 2011.

[Game Time] Chess-Presso Is Social Chess To Make You Feel Dumb On The Go

There are two things I know about chess for sure: I like playing it and I hate playing against computers. Computers are cold, calculating, and just generally smarter than me. They don't make mistakes. They want to take over my planet with their cold, metal claw-hands and laser eyes. If something is going to make me feel stupid, it damn well better be a person. This is why I like Chess-presso.

Epic Games Not Available On Android, We Have The Carriers To Thank

Gizmodo recently sat down with Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney for a talk about gaming, mobile platforms, and the Sony NGP. Naturally, one of the topics at hand was Android, and, more specifically, why there are no Epic titles for the platform.

Epic Games has been producing iOS games for some time using the Unreal Engine, which provides detailed graphics and better gameplay. However, as Android users, we have never had the opportunity to see these types of games on our devices, and there seems to be good reason for that.

Playstation Games Begin To Arrive In The Android Market, US Residents Patiently Wait For Their Turn

Just in time for the UK release of the Sony Xperia Play, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited (can we just say SCEEL for short?) has started to release Playstation games on the Android Market. So far, only five games have been released, including Syphon Filter and MediEvil, but I'm sure that many more are on the way (Metal Gear Solid, anyone?). Naturally, I tried to install one of these games, only to be denied.

PSX4Droid Emulator Gets Pulled From The Market - Probably For Trademark Infringement

Engadget is reporting via a number of tipsters that the popular PlayStation emulator PSX4Droid has been pulled from Android market. Google's statement on the issue?

"We remove apps from Android Market that violate our policies."

Well, that's helpful. Actually, upon a short perusal of the US Patent and Trademark Office database, the reason became clear to us: PSX4Droid is infringing on a trademark owned by Sony for the acronym "PSX." This means PSX4Droid probably just needs a name change before being given the green light for republication.
