One of the coolest things Spotify gives to long-time users is Wrapped, a deep dive of the music they listened to throughout the year. Now that Google is concentrating its efforts on improving YouTube Music, the company is offering its users a similar — though much more basic — feature, along with a selection of new playlists celebrating the most popular songs of 2020.
YouTube Music is Google's music streaming champion now, and today it's getting a major upgrade that takes personalization to a whole new level. From seven brand new personalized playlists to a tabbed homescreen that gives quick access to activity-based recommendations, today's update makes getting to the music you want to hear easier than ever.
In another "I can't believe it couldn't already do that" feature addition, YouTube Music is now testing the ability to pick and play your personal playlists from the Google Assistant. So the next time you need to fire up that "Summer 2017 workout jams" playlist, you can just ask the Assistant with your voice.
