Vivo has a new phone with a pop-up selfie cam, and it's headed for India

Vivo's been teasing the concept of a pop-up selfie camera since last MWC, but outside the Nex S, which landed in China last year, the technology has been sadly lacking in consumer devices. Today that changes, but only a little: Vivo has just formally announced the V15 Pro, bringing the pop-up camera to another consumer phone, but this time in India.

Vivo's new concept phone doesn't have a screen notch or a front-facing camera because who needs selfies

Today Vivo has revealed a new concept phone in the vein of yesterday's Meizu. The APEX 2019 has "no openings, seams, or bezels," no front-facing camera, a proprietary magnetic power/data connector, and an in-display fingerprint sensor which covers nearly the entire screen.

Vivo announces the all-screen Nex with a popup selfie camera, but it's only for China

Vivo wowed us at Mobile World Congress this year with its almost bezel-free Apex concept phone.
