In a year full of ups and downs for the company, Twitter is following through on its teases by delivering on a feature its fanatics have been longing for: editable tweets. But don't expect to go about rewriting your posts all willy-nilly for free.

Last year in June, Twitter announced a new subscription service called Twitter Blue, giving subscribers access to certain premium features on top of what free users get, such as the ability to undo tweets, customize the app icon, and compress threads in Reader mode. You had to shell out $2.99 every month to gain access to all of that, and as of Thursday, June 28th, the price is set to go up.

What would Twitter need to offer for you to pay to use it? Last year we saw the introduction of Twitter Blue, a $3 monthly subscription with features like the ability to undo tweets, read ad-free articles, and customize different color themes. Not every feature's been the same across platforms, and iOS users have already had access to a customization option that allowed them to tweak the app's navigation interface. We're now finally seeing the same setting come to Twitter Blue for Android.

Tweetdeck might be an unfamiliar name for those outside the world of media, but it's been around almost as long as Twitter itself. Simply put, it's a tool that lets users manage multiple Twitter accounts from one interface. It's especially useful for people who need to keep track of news events or from different people or businesses. It's an invaluable tool, and the best part has always been that it was freely available. There is now evidence, via cybersecurity researcher Jane Manchun Wong, that Tweetdeck won't be free for much longer, as it might get folded into Twitter Blue.

It's been speculated for many blue moons. Now, after testing the deep blue waters off of Australia and Canada since June, the Twitter Blue subscription service is finally crossing gulfs to New Zealand and the United States with a bevy of new bells and whistles though Android users will be left feeling a little blue with this launch.

After nearly a year of rumors and hintsnot to mention a pricing leak earlier this week — Twitter has finally announced a paid tier for anyone who just can't get enough of their feed. It's coming to Canada and Australia first, with a couple of long-requested power features locked behind a monthly subscription.

Twitter seems to be prepping for the launch of Twitter Blue, a premium package of features including the ability undo certain tweets, organize favorite posts into collections, and utilize its recently acquired Scroll paid newsfeed service, at least for iOS.
