In the span of a couple of years, true wireless earbuds have transitioned from being a luxury purchase to a commoditized, affordable product. Even within the category, features like USB-C or Bluetooth 5.0 that were once only found on expensive models have made their way to cheap sub-$50 buds. Now, active noise cancellation is going down the price echelon and the Tribit FlyBuds NC are a perfect example. $60 for a pair of TWS buds with a good sound seems too good to be true, but in reality, the FlyBuds manage to deliver on their promise without much compromise.
Like any new product, true wireless earbuds were initially prohibitively expensive, with limited available options on the market. As we all know, this is no longer the case for the ubiquitous audio companions that many of us now carry around every day. These days, you can find a pair of Bluetooth buds at any price point, including, somewhat surprisingly, impulse buy territory. Amazon is currently selling Tribit's X1 wireless earbuds for only — a $10 markdown from an already affordable $29.99.According to Tribit, these headphones should deliver up to 3 hours of continuous use with an additional 15 hours worth of charge ready and waiting in the carrying case. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.0 should also provide a reliable connection and easy pairing. While these are not waterproof by any means, they are sweat and splash-proof, making them a decent choice for runners on a budget.
We've made it halfway through the week, readers. Pats on the back all around. On this final Wednesday of summer, consider the following deals: we've got a sizable discount on Google's Nest Secure home security system, money off color-changing Hue lights, a cheap 4K streamer, and bargain Bluetooth speakers.
If you've been looking for a good pair of wireless headphones, Tribit has you covered with the XFree Tune. We've partnered with Tribit to give away 12 pairs of the headphones, and we also have an exclusive coupon code that will take 15% off the usual price. This contest isn't just for US readers, either!
If you're planning to go to a few pool parties this summer (or maybe just chill in a tub every once in a while), it's great to have a speaker that won't break after a few water splashes. Right now you can get a Tribit waterproof 24W Bluetooth speaker for just $52, $18 off the original price.
When you think sub-$100 Bluetooth speaker, you probably think of brands like Ultimate Ears, JBL, and Bose. However, if you're in the market for one, we'd recommend that you check out the Tribit X-Boom, which is currently discounted by .50 to .49 on Amazon. We reviewed the X-Boom last year and found it to be a great speaker for the money. The sound is crisp, the bass is impressive, and there's a nice array of buttons to control it with. The only real downside is the lack of features compared to competitors, but most of you probably never touch those anyway. If you just want decent sound at a good price, you'll be happy with the X-Boom.
I'll be honest - when we were first contacted about checking the new Tribit X-Boom out, I wasn't expecting much from it. I had never heard of the company, and the design looked a little cartoonish. On top of all that, the $69.99 price tag was much lower than competing models from companies like UE and JBL. But after using it, I've learned that the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" is quite appropriate here.Don't get me wrong; the X-Boom isn't perfect. I still think that the design is a bit odd, and it's pretty barren in terms of features. In the areas that matter, though, this thing can put speakers that cost twice as much to shame.
