Gmail app now alerts you to deleted messages from threads, gives option to view

The desktop/web version of Gmail has been undergoing a lot of changes in recent months, but the Android app, in comparison, has languished a bit. The intrepid folks over at XDA are always tinkering away to try and make using your Android device a better experience. And a few weeks ago, one of them (namely, temasek) found that the Android Market has some issues trying to resolve DNS servers when your device is connected over Wi-Fi. Our tipster experienced this on his HTC Desire Z, but he tells us that two of his friends - one using a Nexus One and the other on a Galaxy S - have come across the same bug. Additionally, several Google Code users have encountered this issue on their Motorola Droids, Droid Incredibles, EVOs, and other Android devices.
