Since the dawn of time, owners of Tegra devices have wanted a way to natively capture video of what's happening on their screen. Unfortunately, none of the existing apps (including Screencast) were able to accomplish this goal – until now.
Say hello to the [somewhat] recently-released SCR Screen Recorder, an app that not only promises to capture screencasts of Tegra devices, but delivers on that promise beautifully. To put the app to the test, I not only gave it a run on my Nexus 7, but broke the Galaxy Tab 10.1 out of the vault to ensure Tegra 2 compatibility.
After wrecking Earth on the PC last year and teasing us back in February, Demolition Inc. has arrived on Android by way of Nvidia's Tegra Zone. That means you're going to need a Tegra 2 or 3 device to enjoy the detailed graphics and realistic physics in this action/strategy title, at least for now.
The game is essentially a well-implemented physics simulator that has you taking a city apart piece by piece so its raw materials can be harvested.
Who's ready for some old-school gaming action? If not, you better get ready - Sonic the Hedgehog and his homie Tails are making their way to Tegra-powered devices in 2012 for a sequel to the 2010 hit Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Episode 1 (which, unfortunately, is not available on Android).
Episode 2 will bring some enhanced features over its predecessor, including a completely redesigned physics engine, new character animations, and, most importantly (to us, that is), the arrival on the Android platform.
In our first giveaway of the day (there will be another one a bit later, stay tuned), we're handing out the last of our holiday goodies provided by our pals at NVIDIA. Two lucky winners will be selected, one will get the unique ASUS Eee Pad Slider tablet, and another will receive the new Acer Iconia A100. Both winners will also get a Jambox portable speaker and a $25 AMEX gift card.
Do you like connectivity? Well, today you're getting a chance to win what is probably the most connectable Android tablet around, the Toshiba Thrive. Our friends at Toshiba have graciously provided us with one, along with a Toshiba Wireless Keyboard for maximizing your tablet productivity.
This contest is now over. Here is our winner, selected at random:
Congratulations, you will be contacted for your information in the near future!
Oh, you thought we'd be doing just one mega-holiday giveaway a day for ten days? You thought wrong. Now, we realize the first contest we held today was for our US readers only, so we're going to give the international crowd some love with this one. You can thank our friends over at NVIDIA who are always happy to offer some Tegra-powered awesomeness to our worldwide audience, this time in the form of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB Wi-Fi edition.
Looking to improve on Hockey Nation 2010, Distinctive Wireless' 2011 iteration puts special emphasis on utilizing the power of NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor to allow for a wide array of graphic enhancements including specular maps, ice reflections, increased polygon count, improved skin meshing, and animated crowd behavior.
Besides a handful of visual boosts, HN 2011 brings with it a ton of gameplay enhancements. Instead of simply choosing from 14 international teams, the player now has the ability to select from 18 national teams from around the globe, 40 customizable city teams, and the option to choose from 6 exciting gameplay modes, including World League, Go for Gold, Shootout, Exhibition, Playoff and Practice.
Be sure to check out our Shadowgun Giveaway pack post, too - you could win an Galaxy Tab 8.9, a Jambox, and a $25 AMEX gift card!
Shadowgun is a game we've been following since its announcement for Android earlier this year. A couple weeks back, we received a preview build to test the game out (that link contains a gameplay video as well). Now, I've played the full version of the game and can report my findings more completely.
As always, we'd like to thank NVIDIA for providing us with these awesome prizes to give away to you, our readers. NVIDIA has been an amazing partner and allowed us to conduct so many awesome giveaways that we're not quite sure what we'd do without them.
