Square Enix is bringing 'Star Ocean: Anamnesis' to the West, and pre-registration is open

Square Enix is actually bringing Star Ocean: Anamnesis to the West, and you can pre-register for a release announcement right now on the Google Play Store. One thing to understand is that this title has been available in Japan since 2016, which is why it's so surprising to see an English translation in the works two years later. For the most part, this plays just like one of Square's other gacha games Mobius Final Fantasy. This means you can expect to play in portrait as you dodge enemies, time your attacks, and manage your abilities to destroy everything coming your way.

Square Enix brings 'Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth' to Android, fully translated and with IAPs

Valkyrie Profile is a classic RPG that was published by Square Enix back in 1999 for the original PlayStation. Unlike the majority of Square's RPGs, this title deviated from the standard top-down exploration and replaced it with unique (at the time) 2D platforming gameplay. To this day it's still considered a cult hit by its fans worthy of being listed alongside the Xenogears or Suikoden series. So it is my great pleasure to announce that the PSP port Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth has found its way to Android, and you can pick it up right now for $15.99.

Chrono Trigger has been updated with new features to bring it up to date with the PC release

Chrono Trigger has had quite the checkered past on Android. It originally released on the Play Store back in 2012. Later that year Android version 4.3 was released which broke the game. Square Enix left it broken until it was finally updated with a fix sometime in 2014. It has had a few updates since then, but none of them were of substance. The good news is that it appears Square Enix is finally showing some love to this classic JRPG since it was just updated with some new and useful features in order to bring it in line with their freshly released PC port.

Square Enix has released 'Final Fantasy Dimensions II,' a free-to-play RPG that has gone premium

The sequel to the hit Square Enix RPG Final Fantasy Dimensions has just launched on Android and boy is it an odd release. Of course, one has to wonder how this transition has affected the gameplay.

Square Enix's classic 'King's Knight' receives a modern facelift

King's Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon is the latest release from Square Enix on the Play Store. It's a re-imagining of a Square's 1986 game King's Knight and a mobile spin-off from the Final Fantasy universe. It plays like a top-down auto scrolling shooter that's mixed with plenty of action role playing mechanics.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is coming to Android later this year

We already have some Final Fantasy games on Android, but the only good ones are ports of old games. That FFXV: A New Empire spin-off barely counts as a Final Fantasy title. Square Enix just announced a new mobile game that might actually be worth your time. Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will bring content from the full FFXV to mobile devices, and you'll be able to try it for free.
