Apple has been having a bit of a rough time over the past couple weeks. First it was dealing with the legal challenge brought by Epic Games, and now the company is getting attacked by Samsung, too. In a new series of videos, Samsung compares its own Galaxy 21 Ultra to Apple's latest device in order to see which phone takes better pictures of —checks notes— grilled cheese sandwiches?

A different approach to zoom than the S20 Ultra
You may or may not consider the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra a huge upgrade over the S20 Ultra, but there's no denying that the company changed up the camera setup a bit. The most notable change is the replacement of the 48MP periscope zoom camera with a dual 10MP telephoto setup, promising up to 10x optical zoom. Other than these two, the specs remain the same on paper: There's a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 40MP selfie cam.
Samsung's latest and greatest takes flagship smartphone pricing to another level, but at least the $1,400 Galaxy S20 Ultra supposedly promises some of the most dramatic camera improvements the series has seen in recent years. It features a quad-camera system that includes a 108MP main sensor (f/1.8), 12MP ultra-wide (120˚, f/2.2), 48MP telephoto (f/3.5), and a depth sensor thrown in for good measure. On the front, there's a 40MP selfie cam (80˚, f/2.2). Let's take a look at what this pricey camera array is capable of.
