One of Sony’s best ANC headphones is cheaper than ever

That’s almost 50% off their MSRP for one of the best sounding wireless ANC headphones on the market

When it comes to ANC headphones, Sony's WH-1000XM3 are considered one of the best models in the category. They're not the newest one, though, as they were released back in 2019. However, they still offer great audio quality and noise cancelation, and, most importantly, they're down to just $170, which is almost half their original price.

The outside world can be a loud place, full of distractions and noise. If you're trying to get work done, the last thing you need is your neighbors in the apartment above you practicing clogging lessons. Thankfully, noise-canceling headphones make it easy to tune out your surroundings. Sony makes some of the best ANC headphones and earbuds you can get your hands on, and while the WH-1000XM3s aren't the newest kids on the block, today's deal is unbeatable for the value.Although a newer model has replaced the XM3s — not to mention Sony's brand-new ANC-equipped earbuds — these are still some killer headphones — especially for $200. With excellent comfort, sound quality, ANC, and battery life, Sony's set is an all-around hit. The XM3s are loved by basically anyone who has ever tried them on, but if you need another personal recommendation, I'm literally wearing them as I type this sentence. They're the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever owned, and the ANC is everything you'd want for keeping the outside world, you know, out.

Sony phones always follow the same pattern: they start off far too expensive in the United States, then slowly fall in price until they are acceptable purchases. Now you can get an Xperia 1 and a pair of Sony's WH1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones together for $750, a savings of around $150 compared to buying the phone and headphones separately. The Xperia 1 was originally released last year, and comes equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage (with microSD expansion), a 6.4-inch 4K OLED screen, a 3,330mAh battery, and triple rear cameras. It shipped with Android 9 Pie, and was updated to Android 10 a few months later. Sony hasn't officially said if the Xperia 1 will get Android 11, but the company's normal policy is two major OS updates, so we would be surprised if the phone was being left behind this early.

Sony's WH-1000XM4 headphones are finally officially official, and you can pre-order them now for 0. If that seems a touch high, consider grabbing the previous model instead. The Sony WH-1000XM3 offer almost everything the XM4 do, and they're significantly cheaper. Right now, you can nab a pair on Newegg for 7, $123 under MSRP and $50 less than Newegg's usual going rate.Compared to the newer XM4, the biggest thing these XM3 headphones lack is multi-point connection — the ability to maintain a Bluetooth connection to two devices at once to switch between them more seamlessly. Their call quality and noise canceling are also not quite as good as the newer version. Still, if none of those things matter to you, they're a great deal at this price.

The unpronounceable Sony WH-1000XM3 active-noise canceling headphones may be getting a little long in the tooth with a successor landing soon, but that doesn't make one of the best Bluetooth headphones any worse — they're still a great choice. If you've been eyeing these to escape the noise surrounding you while you work from home, today might be your chance to grab them for cheap. They're available as Woot's deal of the day for just 0, which is the lowest we've ever seen (ignoring refurbs, that is).

Sony's unannounced WH-1000XM4 headphones show up in Walmart listing

Sony's WH-1000XM3 headphones (above) are among the best when it comes to over-the-ear Bluetooth audio, and it looks like the successor will be launching soon. Just a few weeks ago, a teardown of the Sony's Headphones Connect app uncovered some features that the upcoming WH-1000XM4 would bring. Now, a listing for the 1000XM4 has appeared on Walmart's website.

Bose has been one of the most popular brands when it comes to ANC headphones. However, Sony has managed to dethrone the title with its WH-1000XM3 noise-canceling headset, which has been praised as one of the best on the market. Sadly, the device traditionally sells for about $350, which can be a roadblock for many. Thankfully, you can now snatch a new pair for just $230, which is $120 off the MSRP.

When it comes to noise-canceling headphones, there aren't many that can rival Sony's WH1000XM3. It's one of the best options out there, with excellent sound quality and a fantastic design, and now you can get a manufacturer-refurbished model for just $179.99. For context, the same headphones new-in-box go for around 0.These headphones offer active noise canceling, touch controls, a USB Type-C port for charging, a foldable design for easy storage, and a microphone for hands-free calls. The model being sold is the Google Assistant variant, so you can talk to Assistant just by pressing a button.

Sony makes great active-noise cancellation (ANC) headphones, and the WH-1000XM3 is its best pair yet. Once in a while, and for brief periods of time, it's come down in price to about $300. Most of the time, however, it usually sells for $350. The same eBay seller we covered earlier in June is back to selling refurbished units for just $200, a full $150 off full price.
