Hulu's latest app update adds a long-overdue tool for efficient binge watching
The 'skip intro' button for TV shows is finally here
There are plenty of TV shows with wonderful intros. But even the best ones will grate on you if you're watching your seventh episode on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Hulu realizes this, and has added a "skip intro" button to its interface on Android, as it's had on the web and at least some smart TV platforms for over a year.
AT&T/WarnerMedia's latest streaming service, HBO Max, was released to the general public on May 27th. While it does have a large library of shows and movies, it has been criticized for its lack of features, most notably the ability to skip show intro scenes — something Netflix added in 2018. It took a few months, but HBO Max has finally fixed that issue.
As much as I love The Office's intro, it does slow down marathons a bit. Netflix introduced the ability to skip TV intros last year, but the feature didn't work while using a Chromecast or similar device. Thankfully, that has finally been fixed, so you can save precious seconds on your next BoJack Horseman marathon.
