As we know it today, Roblox is a social platform-turned-metaverse where prideful gamers (of all ages) develop and share their creations while indulging in community-driven games. Roblox has left a legacy that's attracted a supportive community and following, which is a large part of why the aging platform remains intact today. Roblox is more than just a massive sandbox/simulation game; it reels in a large, growing community and brings indispensable resources to get gaming creations out to the world without needing a top-end Android phone.

Roblox has been around since 2006. It is still thriving as one of the largest metaverses in gaming today. Roblox is a game-building platform where anyone can create or play a giant selection of builds; it's a place for gamers by gamers. The platform provides the perfect sandbox and free tools for young and aspiring developers to learn and grow.

Prior to today, Prison Architect: Mobile was only available as a soft launch title in a few select countries. Well, that changes forthwith as it is officially available right now for all of us to enjoy. Well, to be specific, those of us with a tablet can enjoy it. Sadly the game is not compatible with non-tablet devices. But those of you who do happen to own an Android tablet, then it would appear that you are in luck.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a beautifully designed board game, a deep turn-based tactical RPG, an interesting swipe-based action game, an offshoot turn-based RPG from a popular MMORPG franchise, a cute voxel-based endless runner, a flight simulation space opera, and a deeply detailed construction simulator. Without further ado:

When you stare into the infinite void of space, salted with stars so vast and distant that they defy the human mind to imagine them, you can't help but wonder at the scope and majesty of the universe. Then you start to wonder how to make some money out of it.

This War of Mine is not a fun game. But it isn't trying to be. While other "realistic" war games will hand you a rifle and tell you to take that beach, Private, in This War of Mine a few scraps of meat is a much more important tool for survival. You control three survivors living in a bombed-out house in the middle of an extremely non-specific war zone, trying to scrape together enough materials to craft their way through the war without starving or freezing.

Fans of online PC action games will be aware of World of Tanks, a popular free-to-play tank simulator that's frequently updated with added content. iOS has had access to a simplified version for over a year, which would normally cause some ire among Android gamers. But I'm prepared to give developer Wargaming a pass on this one, since World of Tanks Blitz is launching with cross-platform play between Android and iOS, ensuring a healthy population of online players right from the start.

Pardon me, readers. This is usually where I make a distinction to point out the fact that most of the world calls its favorite sport football. (We do that in America too, but it's a different football, and we call everyone else's football "soccer.") That isn't important. What is important is that Square Enix thinks that the image below is the best way to advertise its new game, Champ Man 15.

After 20 minutes of playing Bio Inc., I feel like a horrible, horrible person. Poor John Smith was already overweight, a chronic fast food eater, and a compulsive smoker, and I went out of my way to target his respiratory system. I gave him lung cancer. I gave him bronchitis. And when his doctors realized something was wrong, I went after his ticker and gave him angina, then a full-on heart attack. But that's kind of the point of Bio Inc.: you are everything medically wrong with the world, and it's you're job to kill the patient by any means necessary.

Lo, and then the lord did tap the touchscreen interface and cause great mountains to rise up from the landscape. Then with a swipe and a tap, the lord did create all the creatures of the land. Following all that, the lord made the sky purple, just because, for this god is a confusing and temperamental god. This and so much more is what awaits you in Topia World Builder, which has just hit Android after a good long run on iOS.

Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got a frontier version of Sim City, another toy-flavored defense game from Chillingo, an 8-bit falling game, and a Breakout clone that spends too much time on the Internet. Without further ado:

At least once or twice a year you hear about some desperate and/or stupid person who decided to be their own doctor, suturing their wounds with staples or fishing wire in lieu of an emergency room visit. If that sounds like fun, then Amateur Surgeon 3 from the quirky folks at Adult Swim is right up your artery. This is an Android release of a Flash and iOS game, not to mention a gruesome and sarcastic take on the old 'Operation' idea.

It's finally here, folks: the most-anticipated agrarian simulation game of the year is now available on the Google Play Store. If you wile away the lonely Kansas nights with the latest Tractor Supply Company catalogs, if you've ever found yourself checking out a ball hitch on eBay, if the words "crop rotation" get you hot and bothered, then this is your game.

Transport Tycoon needs no introduction, but I'm going to introduce it anyway. You see, as popular as this title was, many of us managed to miss it. Actually, that probably doesn't come as much of a surprise. A game about transporting people and products around isn't exactly the easiest sell. Yet if you take the time to dig in, there is a wealth of content here that's sure to hook you for a very long time. But while the the interface is now completely touch friendly, it doesn't make diving into this game any easier.

An official port of the wildly popular Transport Tycoon PC title is blazing towards Android full steam ahead. The game, which is being designed and directed by original creator Chris Sawyer, is set to launch in just two weeks. Sawyer's company and development partner Origin8 have announced that the title will launch on mobile devices on October 3rd.

While an open source remake is already available on Google Play, an official version of Transport Tycoon is coming to Android before the end of 2013. The game's original creator, Chris Sawyer, is designing and directing what is being billed as the definitive version of the simulation classic. Developers at Origin8 Technologies, who are also working on the game, have recreated and restored Sawyer's original code and are revising it for touchscreen devices.

I hope you've been paying attention to Harry's teachings for the last six years. You're going to need the code if you hope to avoid getting caught in Dexter the Game 2, which has just been released to the Play Store today. We first heard about this one back in July, before season 7 got underway. Now it's more than half over. Right around the time the story starts to lull before ramping back up to the finale. What better time to unleash your own monster?

Back in April, we reported that SEGA released Football Manager Handheld 2012, a game that allows you to simulate what it would be like to run a soccer football team. Of course, I honestly couldn't tell you five differences between futbol and handegg, so I may not be the best judge of how fun these games are. Then again, I used to play a game where I pretended to be the owner of a large hotel. To each his own.

Kairosoft is a gaming company that has built a name for themselves on quality. Their simulation games have constantly topped many reviewers' "best of" list for Android titles, and personally they've enthralled me for many an hour.
