That was quick. The app's DVR issues caused by the Pie update seem to be fixed already, according to the last night's update from the HDHomeRun Twitter handle. https://twitter.com/HDHomeRun_US/status/1157027688244232193

The Nvidia Shield TV started receiving Android 9.0 Pie yesterday, making it the device's fourth major software update. That being said, you may want to hold off on upgrading if you use your Shield TV as a DVR for HDHomeRun, as it seems to have broken this functionality — though a fix is being worked on.

If you've been itching to DVR the live TV that you get via your OTA broadcast or cable card receiver on an Android TV box, then I've got some great news for you.
