The buildup to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series on February 9 was nothing short of climactic. As expected, the pre-order gates were cast open, and the relentless barrage of purchases started pouring in (so much that the company had to temporarily halt pre-orders for the tablets). The announcement saw the official S22 release date pegged at February 25, by which time the first wave of pre-order shipments should have landed on consumers’ doorsteps. As you’d expect, the devices are indeed arriving right on schedule, but not for everyone.
Samsung initially promised that pre-orders would arrive by March 8th, but based on recent reports, some folks might be getting theirs a bit early. Shipping notifications for some pre-orders are already going out.
Yesterday, Google started charging payment methods for some with Pixel 2 pre-orders. Tantalized, we all sat in eager anticipation for them to ship out. Just a few minutes ago our own Artem received his shipping notification, so it's official. At least some Pixel 2 and 2XL pre-orders are now shipping.
As we close out 2012 and move into the new year, all of the tech world is eagerly awaiting the arrival of one, unique product with bated breath and eager curiosity: Google Glass. But for those of us who don't have $1500 to shell out on prototypes of that thing (and a time machine to travel back to I/O '12 to order them), we're distracting ourselves with Ouya, the Android-based gaming console. A few hours ago, the Acer Germany page on Facebook (translated) posted an update stating that there was a fault with an important component in the A51x series of tablets. But Acer did not state which component failed to pass their quality control tests. Unfortunately, this means that there will be a delay in delivery of the Iconia Tab A510/A511 tablets, and Acer has been unable to confirm when the faulty component will be replaced.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is quickly becoming the darling of the Android tablet world. With all the specs (dual-core, Android 3.0, keyboard dock - the list goes on) and a price tag at $400, this may just be the one Honeycomb tablet to rule them all. Alas, when a great product and a great price meet, there is great demand - and when there is great demand and a less-than-great supply level, there is a high level of dejected customers leaving their electronics retailers with empty hands.
There's not a whole lot of specificity that comes with this information, but at the same time it seems pretty likely that HTC isn't putting all of its tablet eggs into the Flyer and EVO View 4G basket. DigiTimes is reporting that HTC is planning to release two Honeycomb tablets bearing the Flyer moniker later this summer, both with larger displays than the incoming Gingerbread version.
