Its partnership with Google for the Wear OS-based Galaxy Watch4 series seems to have done wonders for everyone involved, as the company achieved its highest quarterly smartwatch shipments last year. However, battery life is one of its Achilles' Heel as it is not big enough to last a couple of days nor does it charge quickly. A leak from a couple of weeks ago hinted that the 40mm Galaxy Watch5 could sport a bigger battery to fix this issue. Another leak today confirms that the 44mm variant of the watch will also ship with a bigger battery.

Samsung has been working on adding blood pressure measurements to its wearables for a while. It launched a limited test of that feature for the original Watch Active back in 2019, and now, about a year later, the company has announced that the South Korean government has authorized its brand-new Health Monitor app. It's capable of taking blood pressure with nothing but the Watch Active2 (plus some calibration help from a traditional cuff) and will be available in the country in the third quarter of 2020.
