If you closely follow smartphone deals, you know that the US unlocked models of Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge don't often go on sale. However, for Black Friday, several retailers are handing some pretty nice discounts and freebies out for them. We're also seeing some discounts on American carrier and international dual SIM models.

Samsung offering exchange program for Note7 owners in the US

By now, you've probably already heard about several Note7s exploding due to battery issues. Due to this, Samsung issued a recall for all Galaxy Note7s, halted sales, and stopped shipments. As part of this global recall, Samsung has created a product exchange program for Note7 owners in the United States.

"Galaxy Beta Program" Reveals Samsung Is Testing A TouchWiz UI Overhaul, App Drawer Optional

If you often find yourself asking "yeah, but what if it didn't have an app drawer?" in regard to your Galaxy phone, good news: Samsung is testing a very big TouchWiz redesign that eliminates makes it optional... in China and Korea. Sorry, I know that was kind of a tease. But Samsung is testing something called "New Note UX" (I WONDER WHAT THAT REFERS TO) on the Galaxy Note 5 as part of its new Galaxy Beta Program. It looks different-y.

Five Things I Love About The Galaxy S7 & S7 edge

The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are easy to hold up on paper as the best smartphones of 2016 - mostly because they'll likely be the best-selling models (well, next to the iPhone). But what about them makes them actually worth owning? Is Samsung's latest smartphone duo basically just a gussied-up retread of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge+, or is there more to it than that? I think there is. Here are five things I love about the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. (Don't forget to check out our full review right here.)

One phone, two sizes

So often we are asked to either buy a "mainstream" Android smartphone or wait for the separate "phablet" launches of devices that often occur later in the year.

Hey there everyone! My name is Mark. You might have seen me floating around here lately, so I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I make videos! I hope you like videos. If you’ve never seen any of my other content, go give it a look. I think you’ll find that we’ll get along just fine as long as we’re all nice to each other.

[Actually Quite Funny] Three New Samsung Galaxy S7 Commercials Starring Lil Wayne & Wesley Snipes Highlight Water Resistance & Gear VR

Samsung's marketing team has been hitting it out of the park recently with funny, memorable commercials highlighting the S7's many cool features. A couple of days ago, they posted three new commercials starring Lil Wayne and Wesley Snipes, and I think they are pretty stellar. I could describe them for you, but I wouldn't wan't to spoil the surprise. Watch them for yourself.

Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Hands-On - A Closer Look At Samsung's Latest (Video)

We published a quick look at the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge earlier this week, but today we had a chance to really sit down with the phones and learn a few things. With that in mind, here's our full hands-on.

The hardware on the new S7 and S7 edge is going to be deeply familiar to those with a Galaxy S6, Note 5, or S6 Edge+ - the design features are only slightly evolved, with most of the changes being internal. That's not to say nothing's changed on the outside, though. Samsung specifically considered user feedback, particularly from the S6 edge, and made the phone feel softer and smooth to hold around the sides.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 Press Conference Is In A Giant Room Filled With A Bunch Of Gear VRs

Can you even? I cannot even. I am sitting in a giant room in Barcelona with hundreds, possibly thousands, of chairs, each equipped with a hard-wired Gear VR (likely for antitheft purposes).

A box under my seat reads "do not touch." I touched the box. Nothing happened.

We'll be hearing all about the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge shortly. And I will probably leave this press conference with a headache and a sore nose. But I will be able to say I went to the first press conference conducted [partially] in virtual reality. Which is something, maybe? You can watch the live stream below.

The Galaxy S7 Rumor Breakdown: What's Plausible, What Isn't, And What We Still Don't Know

The Galaxy S7 is coming. It will be the most-anticipated Android smartphone of 2016 [relative the general populace], because it will likely be the best selling single model of Android smartphone of 2016. It will almost certainly be announced next month in the lead-up to MWC. As such, the number of rumors and general crap flying around about the Galaxy S7 right now is slowly going critical, and you're probably seeing a lot of it mucking up your readers and social feeds. The question is: what do you believe?

At this point, the summary is: not much. There are a few key tidbits out there I think really worth paying attention to, but there's also a lot of speculation and general rumor-mongering going on that makes it difficult to separate plausible, reliable information from something that would be better off on a fan forum with other fiction.
