Square Enix just launched a collection of Final Fantasy titles on Android
Final Fantasy Legend I, II, and III are now available on Android
Square Enix is notorious for its awful naming schemes, and Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is one of the worst names yet. Luckily the games within this collection are pretty good. All three RPGs were released on the Game Boy back in the day, known as Final Fantasy titles in the US. But this was back when Square didn't have consistent branding globally, so these games are actually part of the SaGa series. Still, they are great turn-based RPGs in their own right, and they hold up to this day (though these games are pretty challenging). We already know this collection is slated for release on Android on September 22nd, with pre-registration now available for the brand-new Play Store listing.

On July 1st, Square Enix tweeted that the first three Final Fantasy titles would be coming to mobile as remasters on July 29th. Well, it would appear someone has pulled the trigger a little early, and so all three are now available on the Play Store. This is why the original Android ports for I and II are now unlisted, where these remasters are being released as updated replacements that many of us will have to purchase again if we wish to see support. Final Fantasy I and II retail for $11.99, and III is $17.99, which is up there for 20+ year-old games.
Gameloft has been developing mobile games for a long time, and it's kind of got the formula down. The latest release from the developer is Order & Chaos 2: Redemption, which is an open world MMORPG that bears a striking resemblance to World of Warcraft. This isn't WoW, though. It's on Android and contains plenty of in-app purchases. What? That's the formula. I never said you'd like it.
