Back in February, we wrote about the disappearance of the HTC Mail app from the Play Store, but it was quickly restored. More recently, we received a tip about the Sense Home launcher also vanishing, but closer inspection shows that a total of 14 HTC apps have been unpublished in the last three months. Read More
HTC's US web store is gearing up for some big sales this holiday shopping season, and as with most things of this sort, it's kicking off on Black Friday. There are some steep discounts happening, but the offerings will change every few days during "Cyber Week," which I guess is a thing now. First up, a killer deal on the Nexus 9. Read More
It's been almost a year since HTC announced its Re sports-focused camera, and there's no indication that the company intends to continue the product line with another entry. So maybe the smartphone maker isn't interested in going toe-to-toe with GoPro, but that means that you can get some great deals on a product that's less popular than its competitors. Today Best Buy is offering a bundle deal that includes both the camera and a bar mount (ideal for cyclists) for $99.99.
That's half off of the retail price of the camera with a $20 bonus for the mount, which brings the total discount to $120. Read More
Remember when HTC had its Hot Deals discounts in July and everyone tried to grab a Nexus 9 for 40% off? Well, the deal is back and you better hurry because the stocks seem to be depleting as I type this. Right now, only one color of each 16GB (black) and 32GB (white) Nexus 9 remains available, while the other is gone, gone, gone. If you're too lazy to do the math, you're looking at paying $239.40 instead of $399 for the 16GB, and $287.40 instead of $479 for the 32GB. At those prices, the tablet's flaws sort of disappear from the equation. Read More
HTC is feeling generous today so it's running a Hot Deals promotion on most of its flagship devices and all of its accessories. The discounts range anywhere from 25% on the HTC One M9 (on contract) to 50% on the Re Camera and any accessory you want on its US store. Let's break them down.
For Nexus lovers, the Nexus 9 tablet is being discounted 40% in both of its WiFi variants. The 16GB is down from $399 to $239.40, and the 32GB is down from $479 to $287.40. If you do the math, you can get the 32GB for more than $100 less than what you'd normally pay for the 16GB version. Read More
It's no mystery HTC is preparing to announce its latest flagship the One M9 in just a couple of weeks. Naturally, it's time to clear out some inventory space to make way for new products, and that means cutting prices. HTC Hot Deals is running a weekend-long sale on the RE Camera, the One M8, and a selection of custom cases.
We've seen some better deals (for $300, and $350) on the One M8 in the last month, but they've been limited to the AT&T model, and only available as refurbs. This sale offers brand new units for every major US carrier, the Developer Edition, Unlocked International Edition, and even the Harmon/Kardon Edition for Sprint. Read More
HTC's bizarre little inhaler-shaped camera is learning a new trick. Tomorrow an update to the RE app will add YouTube live streaming support to the RE Camera. Just sign in and hit the button to stream.
The HTC Desire EYE is a quirky camera that appears to be worth a look, especially when it's looking back at you. This phone is notable not for its specs (though those are nice too), but its 13MP front-facing camera. That's right. HTC has decided that this handset will be able to capture as many pixels from the front as it can from the back.
This handset is an AT&T exclusive, and now we have a launch date: November 7th. The carrier will sell the phone for $549.99 off-contract or $149.99 with a two-year commitment. Alternatively, Next 18 customers can spend $22.92 a month, while Next 12 folks cough up $27.50 instead. Read More
