Ubisoft's Limbless Wonder Returns In Rayman Adventures, With More Conventional Platformer Gameplay And A Ton Of IAP

The last two Rayman games to grace Android, Rayman Jungle Run and Rayman Fiesta Run, are some of the best examples of the genre on the Play Store. Now the developers are branching out by bringing Rayman back to his platforming roots. The third game in the series, Rayman Adventures, allows for more direct control of the 2D characters as they run around the screen. That makes stages bigger and less linear, encouraging players to explore every nook and cranny. You know, like an adventure.

Three Trailers For Awesome Upcoming Android Games: Rayman Adventures, Crashlands, And Ronin

We're getting some really excellent games on Android as of late, and it looks like the hit parade isn't going to end in the near future. Here are three upcoming titles (in three different genres, no less) to look forward to in the next few months.

Rayman Adventures

Rayman Jungle Run and Rayman Fiesta Run are easily two of the best games of their type on Android, and we're getting at least one more. Ubisoft released a reveal trailer for Rayman Adventures early this morning, showing off similar gameplay with a new structure based on rescuing the "Incrediballs." The tap-and-swipe runner gameplay seems to be intact, so I'm sorry if you were hoping for a more conventional platformer.

[New Game] Ubisoft Spices Up The Running Game Formula With Rayman Fiesta Run

The original Rayman Jungle Run was one of our favorite games of last year, and easily in the top tier of running and platforming games available on Android. That title was a mobile tie-in to the Rayman Origins console game, and now that Rayman Legends is out, Ubisoft is back for another mobile installment. Rayman Fiesta Run builds on the original with new levels, new powers, and new gameplay elements.

While a lot of the levels borrow heavily from Rayman Origins (including worlds inspired by frozen margaritas and Latin American kitchens), the character design of the hero is lifted from Legends, using a pastel design that looks gorgeous in motion.

Is the new Rayman worth a few dollars of your cash?

Rayman Jungle Run is split up into 40 regular stages, along with a few bonus levels. The first place of many that this game shows itself to be really well-made is with the level design.
