Samsung QuickStar update lets you hide your phone's most annoying icons
Device Care and Modes and Routines icons can now be hidden
As if they weren't already some of the best customization tools on Android, Samsung's Good Lock suite of apps just keep getting better with each update. Samsung's Good Lock and all its modules allow for an unprecedented level of customization, offering many of the features you'd usually only find in custom ROMs. Unfortunately, Good Lock modules have a habit of breaking whenever Samsung updates its phones to a new version of Android, and that's been the case with Android 12. Routine + is brand new, and QuickStar has also received a minor update
Toward the end of April, the changelog for a Good Lock update hinted that we'd be getting a new module called Routine +. The name suggested that it would be linked to Bixby Routines, and that assumption was correct. Routine + is now available and brings tonnes of experimental new features to Bixby.
Samsung launched Good Lock back when the Galaxy S7 was the latest and greatest, and since then, it's become a staple of the Samsung experience. Until now, Good Lock has been incompatible with Android 10, something rectified by Good Lock 2020. This update does far more than restore existing features, adding plenty of new options to choose from. This much variety may seem daunting at first, so let's talk about everything Good Lock has to offer, and how to get the most out of it.
