Anker's new chargers bring Qi2 MagSafe-style charging to the masses

The company is also introducing positively tiny powerbanks and chargers

Anker makes some of our favorite phone chargers, thanks to their support for technology like Samsung's 45W Super Fast Charging and QuickCharge devices. At IFA 2023, Anker announced a slate of new products, including new powerbanks, charging stations, and the first Qi2-compatible MagSafe-style charging products.

The best wireless earbuds are usually charged within their case. While many models only support wired charging via a Micro-USB or USB-C port, some also support wireless charging for extra convenience. And since everyone uses the Qi wireless charging standard, you can theoretically charge the earbuds on any wireless charger.

Samsung phones are having problems with fast wireless charging

The issues may have started with a recent security update

Wireless charging is a notoriously finicky technology, with different standards and implementations for faster speeds that aren't compatible with each other. However, there appears to be a growing number of people experiencing problems with fast Qi charging on Samsung phones, even with docks that worked perfectly before a few months ago.

Logitech probably isn't the first name that comes to mind when it comes to charging accessories, though the company has dabbled with wireless docks in the past. Today Logitech announced its new series of 'POWERED' charging accessories, but they're a bit pricey. The cheapest product in the lineup is the $39.99 Powered Wireless Charging Pad, which is just a flat square to rest your phone on. It offers fast charging for Apple (7.5W) and Samsung (9W) devices, and use "a combination of internal heat sensors and algorithms" to prevent overheating. For comparison, Choetech sells a two-pack of Qi pads with a faster charging rate for about half the price of a single Logitech charger, though a wall adapter is included with Logitech's product and not with the Choetech charger. Samsung's own 9W pad is only cheaper than Logitech's, but it does include a fan to keep the phone cool.Logitech is also offering a Qi stand for $59.99 with the same features, but your phone is propped up instead of lying flat on the table. Finally, the $129.99 'Powered 3-in-1 Dock' has additional slots for an Apple Watch and AirPods. If you really want to buy one of Logitech's new chargers, they're only available from the company's online store in the United States. Those of you in Canada also have the option of grabbing them from Best Buy.Source: Logitech Blog

Whether you're looking for a power bank, new wireless speakers, true wireless headphones, or a projector, Anker's range of products is known to be reliable and affordable. Thanks to a special deal on the company's lineup, you can save up to $175 on a bunch of products today on Amazon.

A lot of hubbub was caused by the discovery that the Pixel 3's wireless charging was limited to 5W on third-party pads. Even though the device was clearly able to fill up at 10W with the Pixel Stand, other brands of chargers weren't able to supply that much power unless they were accepted into the Made by Google program. The Pixel 4 eschews this ridiculous restriction and can charge wirelessly at up to 11W, even on third-party Qi pads.

When you're out and about, the last thing you need is to run out of juice, especially if your beloved phone is packing a less-than-stellar battery (we're looking at you, Pixel 4). To help you keep your handset ready to roll, iOttie has announced a new 10W Made for Google wireless car charger, coming soon to the Google Store for .95.The iOttie Easy One Touch wireless car charger is a phone cradle that clips onto an air vent or unused CD deck within virtually any vehicle. An included micro-USB cable provides power to the unit, enabling its 10W fast charging throughput. Up until this point, only two other wireless chargers were able to power up Google's Pixel phones at a 10W current: the pricey Pixel Stand and the slightly cheaper Belkin Boost Up; all the rest that weren't part of the Made for Google program maxed out at a measly 5W, regardless of their actual capabilities. Not only does the iOttie wireless charger join the coveted 10W club, it is the first mobile in-car charger to snag this honor.Once the device is all set up in your car, simply put your phone into the cradle against the rear trigger button to lock it in place, and your handset will begin to charge immediately. Power is delivered via the Qi wireless charging standard, making the Easy One Touch compatible with the new Pixel 4/4 XL, as well as the latest Samsung handsets and even newer iPhones. The iOttie Easy One Touch wireless car charger will be available soon in the Google Store and Amazon, along with the new Pixel 4 fabric cases, USB-C Titan Security Key, and more.Buy: Google Store, Amazon

Wireless chargers are convenient in many ways: Not only do they spare you the need to attach a cable to your phone, they're also handy if you have multiple devices with different ports. Samsung's dual wireless chargers take this amenity to the next level, as they can charge two devices wirelessly at the same time using a single cable. You can snatch them at a discount, as the Qi Wireless Charger Duo and Wireless Charger Duo Pad, which features Fast Charge 2.0, are down to $50 and $70, respectively.

Samsung's flagship Galaxy phones have supported Qi wireless charging for several years now. The company's own first-party charging pads can get pretty expensive, but there are plenty of inexpensive options that work just as well.Every wireless charger you can buy right now supports a basic 5W mode. That's the baseline speed that every device can accept. There are also chargers that can operate at a higher capacity, but not all of them can run in that mode with Samsung's phones. If you don't want to shell out big bucks for Samsung's current first-party wireless charger, which normally goes for around , there are a few cheaper options.

Wireless charging is probably the most convenient way to charge your phone, albeit not the fastest. I'm personally a big fan because we can power up various compatible devices at home, without having to switch between Micro-USB, USB-C, and Lightning cables. Anker's wireless charging stand is among the best ones around, and it just dropped to $13, which is 35% off its original price.Stands are usually more convenient than pads, as they allow you to continue using your device while it's charging. Anker's product even lets you place your handset horizontally so you can watch videos and fill up your phone at the same time. Thanks to its 10W output, it'll also charge your handset quickly, if the latter is compatible with such speeds.

The upcoming Note10 might be the new hotness, but deals on this year's Galaxy S10 models are getting better and better. One retailer on eBay is selling all three sizes/models at a substantial discount, with the S10e starting at $500, the S10 at $640, and the S10+ at $650 — those last two come with a wireless charger, too. There are a few caveats, though.

Wireless charging is back in style, as just about every recent flagship phone supports it — including the Galaxy S10, Pixel 3, iPhone XR/XS, Note9, and LG G8. If charging speed isn't a high priority, Newegg currently has a Choetech Qi charging pad for $6.99. That's half off the current Amazon price.Given the extremely low price, it's probably not surprising that the pad is light on features. The pad only charges at 5W (it claims to support the iPhone's 7.5W fast charging, but I couldn't find any record of that working), so it's only ideal for overnight use. The charger has an LED light to display the current status, and it uses a microUSB cable for power. A USB wall adapter is not included. You can buy the charging pad from the link below. The sale ends on March 7th, or whenever stock runs out.Buy: Newegg

If you missed out on the last short-lived Samsung wireless charger sale, today's deal might have been worth the wait. Right now Samsung is selling its first party "Slim" wireless charging pad for a mere $15. That's a $20 discount and less than half the original $35 asking price.

Along with the new hardware announcements at Google's event in New York City, the company also revealed a new accessory for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Appropriated named the Pixel Stand, it's a wireless charging stand that, in typical Google fashion, does more than just recharge your phone.

Usually, we aren't too into Kickstarter stuff here at AP. No small number of crowdfunded endeavors have failed to materialize in the past, and too many of them are merely rebadged OEM goods. But in this brave new dongle-filled world, the HyperDrive has caught our eye. It's a combo USB-C hub, Qi charger, and phone stand all in one. And, unlike many Kickstarter promises, this one has already hit its funding goal.

Not everyone has a car with Android Auto built in. Some of us have to make do with firing up the app when we pile into our car, sorting through a tangle of cables, Bluetooth devices, and clamps with our phones before we head out. If you'd like to streamline that process a bit, or if you've yet to join the Android Auto app-powered ranks, iOttie has four different car mounts that are Deals of the Day over at Amazon and 30% off. If you'd like the Caddilac-unit, iOttie's Easy One Touch Qi mount is probably your jam. As you'd figure, it supports wireless charging for Qi-compatible devices, with other nice features like an automatic closing mount and adjustable telescoping. Normally $49.95, you can grab one now for just $34.97, which is $15 off.

Woot, a daily deals site owned by Amazon, has a special today for a pair of Samsung's Fast Charging Wireless Qi stands for $50. Just last month the site had these for $55, and patience has earned you an extra $5 savings. As before, if you don't need Samsung's "Fast Charge" tech, then you're probably better off with cheaper chargers elsewhere. But, for first party Samsung Fast Chargers, this is a good price.

Dude, what is your problem. You have a sweet new phone with wireless charging capabilities and yet you still are wasting whole seconds every day manually plugging in your phone like a neanderthal. Why? Because, you complain, wireless charging plates are just too darn expensive. Not today they aren't. Amazon has two sweet deals on a pair of different wireless charging plates. One of the two is sure to fit your needs and your budget. First up we have the hockey puck shaped Anker PowerPort Qi Wireless Charger. It comes with a MicroUSB cable but you will need to provide your own power supply. It normally retails for $15, but you can pick one up right now for $12 by applying the code 8LKD5V29 at checkout.
