Yesterday, LG's display technology division unveiled its new 18:9 5.7" "QHD+" LCD panel. While trying to say that is a mouthful (definitely a tongue-twister), the best part is that we will get to see it on the upcoming G6, which we hope is announced at MWC next month.

Back in January Xiaomi announced the Mi Note, a rather fetching midrange smartphone, and let loose some details regarding its more powerful sibling: the Mi Note Pro. Today, we got more information and an official release date for the Pro.

We've seen a few hints of the upcoming HTC One E9, which we presumed would be a bigger variant of the One M9 with a few carefully-chosen cuts to components and finish. According to this HTC China page (first spotted by Engadget Chinese), there are in fact two models: a more low-budget E9 and an E9+, the latter being the one that was leaked earlier. Neither of these devices is likely to be released outside of Asia, so if that kills your interest, feel free to stop reading here.

Being the successful multinational conglomerate that Samsung is, its products are known the world over. But some of its toys are destined for use just in its homeland of Korea. The newly unveiled Galaxy S5 LTE-A is one such product. We can drool over the device, with its support for LTE Advanced and data speeds that most of us in the States can only dream of experiencing (Samsung's advertising speeds of 225mbps down), but there's more of a reason for us to take notice of it than that. No, it's the hardware this phone's packing that matters.

LG's G3 has a lot of pixels. Like, a lot a lot. 534 of them per inch, if you want to get precise. How sharp is it? It's pretty damn sharp.

HTC's yet-unannounced Zara isn't exactly a stranger to the rumor circuit. We've heard all the important specs, but @evleaks has just given us a look at what appears to be a slightly censored press shot.

Panasonic Set To Enter European Smartphone Market With The Eluga

Until today, Panasonic had been keeping their high end Android phones to themselves in the Japanese market. That's about to change with the advent of the Eluga. Panasonic announced the new device today in Hamburg for release some time in March. We're promised that the phone will be waterproof and dustproof, which is great for all those times that you have your phone out in a dusty rain storm.

Since we first saw the Droid 4 last month, we've been waiting for more info on the phone that seems to perfect the ideas behind the Droid 3. Just yesterday, we saw official specs and a few scanned photos from a leaked Verizon document. Today, Droid Life unearthed some official press shots, showing off the Droid 4's 4" qHD display and 5-row keyboard.

Remember that sleek 4.5-inch Motorola looker we encountered last month? It's back, but no longer will it be known as the DROID HD or the DROID Spyder; according to the latest rumor (courtesy of This is my Next), the device is none other than the DROID RAZR. Yes, that's the name of the phone that in 2004 saved Motorola from bankruptcy (before it plunged into the profitless dregs of mobile society a second time, that is).

The DROID 3, like the DROID 2, has been pretty lax about showing itself off prior to any sort of official announcement from Motorola. Today, the DROID 3 has been all but fully revealed by a member over at XDA China. Two things from that post immediately caught our attention: a qHD Pentile display, and 512MB of RAM. Both of them should make you queasy.

It looks like Motorola's follow-up to the Droid X will be hitting its planned release date - sometime later in May - after all. According to Droid-Life's sources, the Droid X2 (or Droid X², if you feel like stylin') will be released on May 26, with all the following luscious hardware in tow:

Well, well, well... look what our friends over at Techno Buffalo have come across - the Droid X2! One of their loyal tipsters has sent in some really great pictures of the DX2, including side-by-side shots with the original Droid X. And as if that weren't enough, they even grabbed a quick video of this upcoming monster performing a Quadrant benchmark. I know you're probably frothing at the mouth to see that, so it's first in line:

The rumors surrounding the Droid X2's hardware have been kind of sporadic, but it looks like we are starting to get a more definite look at what will be packed under the hood of this device. Some benchmarks that have appeared over at Nenamark are basically confirming the presence of a Tegra 2 dual-core processor and a qHD display, the latter via the device's reported resolution of 960x540.

A German HTC fan blog by the name HTC Inside published a shot from Vodafone's internal inventory system last night, revealing the existence of an HTC phone by the name "Desire 2". Phandroid pointed out that this may be a European version of the upcoming and equally mysterious dual-core Pyramid, and I'd say that's not too farfetched a theory.

Nope, Motorola hasn't announced this gem at their CES press conference yet, but it's already live on their site - it's called the Droid Bionic, and it's Motorola's LTE phone for Verizon.
