[Update: Notification channels too] Android Q Beta 2 adds actionable WiFi and Bluetooth options to the main Settings screen

In the first Android Q Beta, a few cosmetic changes were made to the Settings app, but nothing of great consequence. Now that Beta 2 is upon us, some more meaningful changes have been included, with suggestions at the top of the Settings screen encouraging you to connect to a Wifi network and a card with information about connected Bluetooth devices.

Android Q Beta 2 hints at upcoming Pixel Themes app

Slowly but surely, Google is embracing theming in Android. In the first Android Q beta, basic settings in the developer options allowed us to change the font, icon shape, and accent color throughout the OS. In Beta 2, icon shape selection now applies to settings app icons as well as quick settings and home screen apps. At some point in the future, it appears that a standalone Pixel Themes app will control these functions.

[Update: Swipe either way] Notification swipe directions are customizable on Android Q Beta 2

With the first beta of Android Q, one change left some of us really annoyed: unlike Pie and previous versions of Android, you couldn't dismiss notifications by swiping them either way. Instead, swiping right would dismiss whereas swiping left would show snooze and block controls. A mention in the issue tracker gave us hope that the direction would be customizable in future versions, and that has indeed happened in Q beta 2.
