[Update: Out now] Monolisk is a new dungeon crawler available for pre-registration, and it looks great

Monolisk recently arrived on the Play Store as a pre-registration release, and I couldn't help but notice how good it looks, which is why I'm writing this very article. The game is described as a fantasy mobile ARPG, CCG, and dungeon builder, all wrapped up in a single package, which sounds interesting enough, but clearly, the art design takes center stage here.

SimpleRockets 2 recently arrived on the Play Store as a pre-registration listing. It comes from Jundroo, the same developer behind the successful simulation games SimpleRockets and SimplePlanes. Currently, SimpleRockets 2 is available on Steam as an early-access release, but the recent pre-reg listing on the Play Store should mean that we can expect the rocket space sim to land on Android sometime soon.

[Update: Out now] Sega is bringing its action brawling game Fist of the North Star to Android, and you can pre-register right now

For many people in the West, the Fist of the North Star anime film was their first introduction to Japanese animated cartoons, and so holds a special place in their heart. I recall being blown away by the movie in the early '90s, and luckily Sega has seen fit to bring its upcoming Fist of the North Star: Legends ReVIVE mobile action game to the West in its first English-language mobile debut, complete with new art designed under the watch of the original manga illustrator Tetsuo Hara.

Mario Kart Tour is available on the Play Store for pre-registration, official release September 25

It looks like Nintendo wasn't able to keep its promise that Mario Kart Tour would come to Android before the end of the summer, but only by a hair. Nintendo recently announced that Mario Kart Tour will be available on the Play Store on September 25th, two days after the end of summer. It would also appear that the game is now available on the Play Store as a pre-registration listing, most likely to accompany the recently announced launch date. This means we have less than a month to go before Mario Kart Tour officially arrives, though after playing through the last beta, I can't say I'm excited.

[Update: Coming August 22] The cutesy Gears of War mobile game no one asked for is now open for pre-registration

Last year during E3 we learned that Gears of War would be coming to Android with a Funko Pop skin slapped on top, so I suppose it's only right that at this year's E3 Microsoft has officially announced that fans can pre-order Gears POP on the Google Play Store through a new pre-registration listing. This mobile offering has been designed around collecting and upgrading dozens of Gears of War heroes and villains that are displayed in a distinctive Funko Pop style, which does not bode well if you were hoping for a premium release.

[Update: Out now] Witcheye is a beautiful platformer coming to Android August 15th, pre-reg now open

This morning the pre-registration listing for the pixel-based platformer Witcheye popped up on the Play Store, and in the last hour, the developer Peter Malamud Smith tweeted that the game will be officially released on August 15th. What's interesting is that this is the same dev that worked on the viral hit The Great Gatsby for NES, as well as a few well-received iOS puzzle games, so this isn't their first rodeo.
