My Friend Pedro lands on Android as a slingshot-based platformer, and it's pretty good

My Friend Pedro lands on Android as a slingshot-based platformer, and it's pretty good

My Friend Pedro is a Devolver Digital game focusing on tight, visceral combat, stylized visuals, and a trippy hallucinogenic story. And because that describes about 95% of Devolver Digital games: this is the one with a banana in it. The game got rave reviews when it released on PC and consoles back in 2019, and now there's a mobile version coming to Android.

Battlegrounds Mobile India beta is now live for Android users

PUBG Mobile was banned in India back in 2020 during a spree of Chinese app bans in the country. Warhammer: Odyssey is an anticipated MMORPG for mobile — watch the first gameplay trailer here

Back in August of 2019, Virtual Realms announced the development for Warhammer: Odyssey, an upcoming MMORPG that looked promising despite a lack of details. Niantic announces Catan: World Explorers, the fourth augmented reality game from the studio

The Pokémon GO developer Niantic has just announced its fourth game, and yes, it's another augmented reality title. Shocking, I know. Since Niantic has already reskinned its original AR game Ingress with a Pokémon theme and a Harry Potter theme, the studio has now set its sights on the popular board game Catan, in cooperation with Asmodee. This upcoming title is called Catan: World Explorers, and it's billed as a massively-multiplayer augmented reality game that will "transform the entire Earth into one giant game of Catan," which at least sounds somewhat interesting.

Play Store teardown reveals automatic install for pre-registered titles may be coming

According to a recent teardown by the folks at XDA Developers, the Play Store might be picking up a new feature someday that allows it to automatically install titles, like apps or games, that you pre-register to be notified about. That could mean that the next time you want to check out an upcoming mobile game, instead of just being sent an easily-dismissed notification when it finally comes out, it could just be installed on your phone automatically.
