Netflix has long shown you lists of popular content on its app's home screen, but so far, you could never see how exactly titles in those ranked. The company is looking to change that as it has announced that it's starting to roll out top 10 lists of most popular series and movies across all platforms and form factors.

Google Play Store Music Album Pages Now Include Song Popularity Markers

In every popular album there always seem to be one or two songs that get the vast majority of attention, no matter the relative quality of the other songs. Google, for whatever reason, has decided to give this phenomenon a bit of visual representation. Head on over to the Google Play Store and click "music" (not the Google Play Music player interface), then pick any of the various albums featured on the front page. You'll see a new column in the track listing, ranking each song in popularity, presumably in relation to the others on the same page.

Oddly, some albums seem to be excluded, multi-artist compilations and extended plays in particular.

It's always nice to see popular, formerly iOS-exclusive games make their way to Android, a platform which, despite recent improvements, still needs all the help it can get where games are concerned. Therefore, we were delighted when Big Blue Bubble, a critically acclaimed iPhone developer, released its first Android game: Burn the Rope.

Update 7/2/11: Big Blue Bubble released Burn The Rope+, which is an ad-free version of the game for those who don't like the extra permissions in the original game that are required for in-app purchases.
