DoorDash offers free delivery when you use 'Pay with Google' on an order this month ($7 credit for new users)

If you're a tightwad like me, you'll probably agree when I say food delivery services are a bit of an indulgence. But when there's a promo going on, especially during a chilly time of the year, it becomes a lot easier to justify such an extravagance. Enter DoorDash, which is offering free delivery for anyone who makes an order via its Android app and uses the "Pay with Google" payment option during the month of December.

'Pay with Google' is now live for select retailers and apps, more coming soon

At Google I/O back in May, the company announced the Google Payment API, It promised a new way to pay in apps or online with any debit or credit card linked to your Google account. It's similar to how we can already make purchases using Android Pay, with the bonus of not being tied exclusively to Android devices or the Android Pay app. The final "Pay with Google" implementation is now ready to go, and it's available right now with a number of different retailers.

Google Assistant will soon have transaction apps, kid-friendly features, and game templates

It has been slightly over a year since Google Assistant first became widely available, as part of the Google Allo messenger app. It definitely had growing pains, but fast forward to today, and it's a pretty darn good product.
