Google Now Posting Full OTA Images For Nexus Devices Alongside Factory Images

For a long time now, Google has made factory images available with each new system update for Nexus devices, but the problem was, you had to have an unlocked bootloader in order to flash them. Not anymore. Starting today, Google now offers full OTA images for all currently supported devices. These are not the incremental OTAs which sometimes take weeks to fully roll out. These are full OTA images that you can simply sideload with adb in recovery regardless of whether your bootloader is locked or not.

[Update: Nexus 6] [Flash All The Things] October Lollipop Security And Android 6.0 Marshmallow Nexus OTA Roundup

We've had a few developer previews of Android 6.0 over the summer, but now the real deal is rolling out. You could wait for days (or weeks!) to get the OTA on your device the old-fashioned way, or you can just grab the ZIP files from the URLs below. We'll update with new OTA files as we find the URLs, so check back often if your device isn't listed yet.

[Update: Nexus 9 LTE] OTA Updates Incoming For Nexus Devices To Fix Vulnerability In Stagefright

Last week, Google released factory images for every actively-supported Nexus except the Nexus 7 2013 LTE and Nexus Player. These images were for a new build, LMY48I, intended to patch the recently outed vulnerability that was found in Stagefright.

Today, it appears the OTAs are beginning to hit the masses, but be warned, all these do is patch Stagefright. They contain no other fixes of any kind, so if there's some problem with your device you're hoping to have solved with this update, it's not going to happen.
