OnePlus One Hardware Leaked In Photos, Along With CyanogenMod 11S Screenshots

OnePlus has been amazingly and infuriatingly evasive when it comes to their much-hyped One phone, bordering on "bloody cheeky" with their series of faux-viral specification and schedule reveals. Perhaps one of their hardware or marketing partners got as fed up with waiting as we are, because a full set of convincing photos and renders has been leaked via a Chinese forum.

The set of photos shows what looks like a pretty standard high-end phone, with the interesting addition of a variety of removable"StyleSwap" back covers, including various covers made of (or at least covered in) wood, carbon fiber, and denim.

OnePlus Will Finally Take The Wraps Off Its One Phone On April 23rd

OnePlus has been dolling out news about its upcoming CyanognMod-powered One phone (not to be confused with the other One making headlines today) at an incredibly slow and frustrating pace. But it looks like the drip feed may finally be stopping, or at the very least, it won't have much longer to run. An official OnePlus forum post has announced that "On April 23, the OnePlus One will be fully unveiled."

23rd

Given the company's frankly spammy method of teasing pre-release information, we half expected OnePlus to announce the month one week, the week, the next, and the day a week after that.

OnePlus Announces Moto X-Style Voice Commands For The Upcoming One Phone

The marketing campaign for OnePlus's CyanogenMod-powered One phone has been maddeningly piecemeal, so we've been hesitant to post their tiny updates. But the latest one is notable: according to this forum post, the OnePlus One will feature always-on voice commands, in the same manner as the Moto X and 2013 Motorola DROIDs. The administrator says that it's enabled by a combination of Qualcomm technology and custom software from the CyanogenMod team.

OnePlus Exec Promises His Company's Flagship Phone Will Cost Less Than $500, Unlocked And Off-Contract

We haven't heard much in the way of news regarding the OnePlus One since CyanogenMod and OnePlus first announced their collaboration in early January. Since then the team has shared its intent to release the phone internationally in the second quarter of this year, a plan that sounded ambitious then and continues to do so now. But early this morning OnePlus's Pete Lau took to Google+ with a message about the handset's eventual price.

OnePlus Says The One Phone With CyanogenMod Will Be Released In Q2 2014

We're still a little woozy from the idea of Android ROM family CyanogenMod getting a legitimate hardware release from Oppo, but their second hardware partner appears to be on the fast track as well. According to the latest post from the Google+ account of startup manufacturer OnePlus, the One smartphone will be released internationally in the second quarter of this year. The OnePlus One (yes, really) would be the first phone designed from the ground up with CyanogenMod in mind.

OnePlus Is Cyanogen Inc.'s New Official Hardware Partner, Will Announce Debut Phone Called The OnePlus One In First Half Of 2014

CyanogenMod's first officially supported handset, the Oppo N1, has just hit retail. However, the company has teased another partnership recently, but refused to confirm any of the speculation surrounding the fledgling smartphone startup OnePlus. Now the company has officially acknowledged that it will be working with Cyanogen Inc. on hardware. It even announced the name of its first device – the OnePlus One (or... the Two?).

Unlike the Oppo N1, this device will not simply be repurposed for use with CM.
