Last year OnePlus and McLaren collaborated to make a limited special edition phone called the OnePlus 6T McLaren. The partnership must have been fruitful for both sides, as they have teamed up again for the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition which became available earlier this month. Alongside the new OnePlus 7T Pro, the company also announced a special McLaren Edition of the device. Like last year's McLaren 6T, the special edition 7T is a design overhaul with extra RAM — 4GB more this time around.
The primary difference, of course, is the color. The McLaren Edition has orange streaks along the edges, with a black backplate. There’s a silvery wood grain-like design around the camera module, which retains the same vertical design as the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The black glass on the back is a fingerprint magnet, but thanks to the silver patterns underneath it, they are considerably less noticeable.

After ripping up its playbook and launching a premium flagship phone with the 7 Pro this summer, OnePlus is back with an updated version, although this may be the company’s least meaningful upgrade yet. So minor are the differences between the 7T Pro and its predecessor, I find myself questioning its very existence. OnePlus “T” releases seldom offer more than iterative improvements, but even the small bump from the 6T to the 7 felt more relevant than this one.

The latest flagship phone from OnePlus is now official, and it’s fair to say it’s an iterative update to the OnePlus 7 Pro that was released earlier in the year. The 7T Pro looks pretty much the same as its predecessor but comes with a few internal improvements such as the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, a slightly bigger 4,085mAh battery, and new macro photography mode. The tick-tock cycle of OnePlus phones is a little deceptive. While the almost identical names might make it seem like differences are few, these “T” refreshes do sometimes bring bigger changes in design, as with the OnePlus 5T, or entirely new features, as in the case of the OnePlus 6T last year. Specs for OnePlus’ next flagship phone — likely the “OnePlus 7T Pro” if history holds — will probably be familiar, but that doesn’t mean there aren't any improvements the company can deliver, and I have some wants.

OnePlus has been publicly working on a TV for more than a year now, and according to a recent announcement, it may finally materialize this September. The company has revealed that the OnePlus TV will be available in India first following a September launch, and the date curiously corresponds with another recent leak. According to Max J (@Samsung_News_), the company has a trio of dates marked on its calendar: an India-specific event on September 26th, a US/EU event planned for October 10th, and formal "Sale" on October 15th — though we aren't sure if all these dates are for the OnePlus TV, or may include other products.
