The Verizon Galaxy Note9 gets updated to One UI 2.1

Samsung has been doing better with Android updates lately, often deploying monthly patches in lock-step with Google. That's only for the latest generation phones, though. Samsung's older devices will wait a bit longer, but it does still update them more reliably than a lot of OEMs. Case in point, the Galaxy Note9 got an update with One UI 2.1 back in June, and now the new experience has arrived on the Verizon variant of the phone, complete with the July security patches.

Galaxy Tab S6 now receiving Android 10 update, including T-Mobile model

Samsung’s recent efforts to proactively release Android 10 to its flagship handsets left us impressed, considering the Korean brand was notorious for its protracted release schedules not too long ago. So far, at least, it's stuck to the Android 10 rollout roadmap that the company disclosed in late November. After updating many of its recent smartphones, Samsung is now also attending to its tablet range, starting with the 2019 flagship. A number of user reports from Germany have surfaced, revealing that the Galaxy Tab S6 is receiving the Android 10 update, in line with its scheduled April release.

One UI 2.1 update starts hitting Samsung Galaxy S9 with June security patch in tow

The Galaxy S20 line came preinstalled with the Android 10-based One UI 2.1 packing a whole bunch of exclusive features. These are now trickling down to older Galaxy flagships as they get their own One UI 2.1 updates. The OS version landed on the Galaxy Note9 about a week ago, and it’s now time for the S9 to get the latest build, which also bumps its security patch level to June 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally getting Android 10 (Update: Now in US)

The Samsung Galaxy Fold has been plagued by issues ever since its initial release, but lately, the phone hasn't been discussed as much as it used to — the Z Flip stole its spotlight. Samsung also doesn't seem to be too interested in its first foldable anymore as software development is going rather slow for the $2,000 device. However, according to SamMobile, it's now finally receiving an update to Android 10 that also brings along many One UI 2.1 enhancements.
