OnePlus expects you to hunt down clues to buy its limited-edition watch
Do you wanna play a game? If you want this Cobalt Watch, you don't have a choice
The OnePlus Watch isn't very good. The software experience is slow and unfinished, activity tracking is lacking, and even the promised two-week battery is cut in half when you enable the always-on display. Plus, it's just too easy to buy. You mean to tell me you just click "buy" on a website and enter your payment information? Boring. I want the excitement of "winning" an "opportunity" to buy a fancier version of the OnePlus Watch. And if it's held through some weird Instagram contest? Even better.
Google embraces Nickelback to promote Photos, and you'll either love or hate it
Either way, I'm sorry
We can't quite tell if Google is trying to embrace the now-classic meme or not, but the company just published a new video to YouTube, promoting Google Photos to the slightly tweaked tunes of popularly-hated corporate rock darling Nickelback's "Photograph." It's a little cringey, and I legitimately hate the song, but even I have to admit that comparing Chad Kroeger's hair to instant ramen while pointing out Google Photos' rare image misclassifications is a little funny.
