As you'd expect, the video covers the many games that came to the platform in 2022, from Spiritfarer to Cats & Soup. Channel surfing has been a casualty of the switch from cable TV to Netflix or Hulu. Gone are the halcyon days of watching The Shawshank Redemption on TNT just because it's on. Stumbling on a cult classic or a forgotten hit on weekend afternoons might have been left in the past, but Netflix is making an effort to modernize the experience with its new "Play Something" button.
Sometimes, when you come home from work or a day out, you just want to plop down on the couch and turn on the TV. If you're in the middle of a series or YouTube happens to recommend something decent, you're fine. Other times, however, selecting a show to watch is a pain. Luckily, Netflix appears to be working on a solution for that.
About a month ago, Netflix announced that Android and iOS apps were getting previews. The latter launched back then, but Android was simply left with "coming soonTM." Similar to the TV or web experience, these would allow you to see a quick trailer of the show or movie before you invested time in it. Now, it seems like these mobile previews are hitting a small number of devices.
