Out of nowhere, Natsume just released Harvest Moon: Mad Dash on the Google Play Store. Unlike the titles in the core Harvest Moon series, this release is not a farming simulator, at least not in the traditional sense. Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is actually a casual puzzle game that was released on consoles and PC at the tail end of 2019. While I had no doubt the title would eventually make its way to mobile, the fact that it was unceremoniously published on the Play Store this morning still came as a surprise.

On Monday Natsume Inc. broke the news that Harvest Moon: Light of Hope was releasing on mobile, but at the time it was only available for iOS, and the Android release was to come later in the week. Well, it's later in the week, and it looks like Natsume has kept its word. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is now available on Android for $14.99.

A Full-Fledged Harvest Moon Game Is Coming To Android This Winter, And It's Not An Old Port

Japanese developer and publisher Natsume has announced that it's bringing the Harvest Moon franchise to Android for the first time. And this isn't a port of one of the many previous entries in the series. Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories will be a full-blown sequel.

Android isn't the only platform getting its first crack at a proper Harvest Moon release. The farming sim is also coming to the Wii U, PC, and iOS. Only that last one has seen a Harvest Moon game before, but Frantic Farming was a puzzle game, not the farming sim fans have grown accustomed to.

Seeds of Memories gets its name from unlockable seeds players receive as rewards for completing tasks.
