The app just passed the cap of 500 million "downloads" or "installs" on Android, depending on whether you want to take into account the Play Store's app or web wording choice, respectively.

Amazon's Echo line, Alexa voice services, and Music Unlimited are coming to Australia and New Zealand in February, pre-orders are up

Alexa, Alexa everywhere! Amazon is continuing to push its voice assistant and devices everywhere it can and the newest countries after the US, UK, Germany, Japan, India, Ireland, and Canada, to join in on the fun are Australia and New Zealand.

Yesterday (sorry we're late on this), Amazon announced that its Alexa Skills Kit (to create voice commands for your service) and Alexa Voice Service (to integrate Alexa itself into your product) are coming to Australia and New Zealand. They're bringing along the three current Echo devices from Amazon's line-up, which are now up for pre-order at introductory prices, with even cheaper special 2-pack discounts. And I can only hope Amazon set up Alexa to answer with "Oi Oi Oi" everytime it hears you scream "Aussie Aussie Aussie!" otherwise it'd be a wasted opportunity.

Amazon Music Unlimited expands to 28 more countries, where you'll also be able to order an Echo

Amazon's paid music streaming service, Music Unlimited, has been live for a little over a year. Since its launch in the US, it has rolled to a few additional countries like the UK, Germany, Austria, and Japan, but today marks its largest expansion to date: 28 countries are getting Amazon Music Unlimited.
