My Echo is the one that says 'Bad Motherfucker:' Samuel L. Jackson will be an Alexa voice

Amazon just reported that Alexa is now available on over 85,000 devices, a 41% spike from May, from 9,500 brands — up another 28.3% from four months ago. With those kinds of numbers, it is paramount that more thought be put into a user's sense of privacy and security when they own an Alexa product. Tip: Google Assistant is trilingual (and more), but only on phones

Last week, Google officially rolled out bilingual support for Assistant, but as with everything related to Assistant and languages, there were limitations. You can only choose between six main languages (and a few country variants) as the main option, and you're restricted even further when it comes to your secondary language. Turns out there's a small trick to make Assistant understand more than these, but only on your phone if it's set to that other language.

Knowing one language is for chumps. Oops, I might have alienated a huge portion of our readership right there. I wouldn't be here on Android Police if I had stuck to my mother tongue, would I?

But there's a tax that comes with multilingualism: you often find yourself stuck on a word in one language when you just need it in another. And that's why I love multilingual dictionaries: they make it possible to quickly get the word that's been on the tip of my tongue.

Minuum Keyboard Lets You Type In Multiple Languages At Once Following Latest Update

The latest Minuum update is a good one for people who speak multiple languages. This third-party keyboard's developers have added in experimental simultaneous multilingual support. Since using multiple languages requires downloading separate language packs, the Minuum folks have touched up this part of the interface. In addition to an in-app progress bar, a notification appears that can show you how much of the download remains while you move on to do other things.
