TWRP is a fantastic custom recovery - it can do everything from flashing ROMs to creating full storage backups. The tool supports a wide range of phones and tablets, and now a few more devices have been added to the list.

Motorola's been churning out a lot of source code lately, and the newest one is for the Moto X Force (kinzie) on Android 7.0 Nougat. Those of you in the US might know this phone as the Verizon DROID Turbo 2, but it's known internationally as the Force.

Motorola picked a pretty busy day to release its list of phones that are slated to be upgraded to Android 7.0 - make of that what you will. After previously confirming that the new Moto Z , Moto Z Droid, and Moto G4 lines would be upgraded to Nougat "starting in Q4," a more complete list was published to the company blog today. The list is fairly predictable, with some notable exceptions.

Motorola was the first major smartphone maker to start putting its stock apps in the Play Store. Before that, OEMs would only update those apps as part of an OTA update. It sounds positively barbaric by today's standards. Motorola isn't done yet, though. Just today it added its stock file manager to the Play Store. You won't see much in the way of improvements this time, but who knows what the future could bring?

Android aficionados in India have a few more options today when it comes time to get a new device, courtesy of Motorola. As promised, the Moto X Force is on sale, and the previously available Moto G variants have come to Amazon India.

When Marshmallow was first released, Motorola released a list of devices that it deemed Marshmallow-worthy. Noticeably absent from that list was the Moto E 2015 (2nd gen), despite the company promising timely updates in its marketing of the device 219 days earlier. That caused a legitimate online uproar from Moto E users who weren't expecting to be left behind so abruptly and cold-bloodedly. So what's the company to do to silence the cries of scorned loyal users? Do an about-face and fix the issue, that's what. Except it still didn't manage to fully solve the problem for everyone.

Do you know what appears when your phone boots up? Nexus devices have this spunky way of showing off the Android logo. Other manufacturers have their own way of introducing their brand. Motorola tends to get particularly creative. Turning on a Moto E feels a lot like watching the launch trailer.

Motorola has officially announced the Moto X Force, the international version of the DROID Turbo 2 that became available from Verizon Wireless earlier today. You might remember it by its codename, Bounce.
