LineageOS is the most popular custom ROM around, as it has extended the life of many phones and tablets that would have otherwise been abandoned. Even for phones still receiving software updates from the original manufacturer, Lineage can sometimes work better than the stock software, and it's a popular option for 'de-Googling' Android devices. Since our last roundup, several more phones have been added to the official Android 10 build roster (and a few have been removed).
'Quantity over quality' must be Motorola's new motto, because the Moto G5S and G5S Plus are the 11th and 12th phones the company has released this year. The G5S is yet another budget phone from Moto, a device that blurs the lines between mid-range and flagship. You can read our review to learn more (we tried out the Plus, but the devices are very similar), but it comes out as a weird product that doesn't make much sense alongside the existing lineup.

Back in the days when the Moto X could be used with one hand and Moto Maker was a cool new thing, Motorola was one of the best manufacturers with software updates. Since their skin is so minimal, anything else would be disappointing. But Motorola is not what it once was, and it's fallen behind in terms of software support. The Lenovo-owned company has just released its update roadmap for Android 8.0 Oreo.
Motorola used to have a very simple product lineup, but this is no longer the case. In fact, the G-series is becoming downright convoluted with all the slight variations. The G5S Plus popped up on the US Motorola site earlier today, and now the G5S Plus and G5S are official in Europe. They'll both come to the US later this year, but in slightly different forms.
