Google-owned Motorola has already added several of the unique stock apps from the Moto X to Google Play for faster updating, but now it looks like the Moto G is going to get the same treatment. The FM radio app for the upcoming budget-friendly phone has hit Google Play.

This app doesn't appear to be compatible with any other devices – not even the Moto X. The tab-based interface looks clean and you get around by swiping.

Motorola Posts The First Commercial For The Moto G, Verizon Confirms Availability In "Early Q1"

Motorola has made a splash in the mobile world today, thanks to a ridiculously cheap phone that appears to be pretty good. (Shocking!) The $179 Moto G was announced in a live event this morning, with availability in Brazil and parts of Europe today, and a worldwide rollout continuing into early 2014. The company published the first ad for the Moto G on its YouTube channel.

Motorola Announces The Moto G: A Competitive Mid-Range Phone For $179 Off-Contract, Coming To The US In January

The words "no compromise" and "mid-range" would seem to be mutually exclusive, but Motorola would like you to think otherwise. The company announced the Moto G in a live event, promoting a cheaper and slightly lower-spec version of the flagship Moto X. This phone is Motorola's wide-ranging model, the first that's been introduced since the X, and it's intended to be cheap enough to be purchased without a contract.

Motorola Teases Online International Moto G Announcement For November 13th

The Good Ship Motorola has more leaks in it than Stan Rogers' famous Antelope, and the Moto G (and the Moto DVX, which is probably the same thing) has been the only significant device we've heard about since the X. Evleaks Tips The Moto G: 4.7-inch 720p Screen, Snapdragon Pro, 8 Or 16GB, And Free On Contract

If you can tear your gaze away from KitKat and Nexus news today, there's actually other stuff going on in the Android world. The indefatigable Evleaks has just posted what he claims is a photo (of a photo) of the Moto G, which he himself was sent via a tip. It looks a lot like the Moto X, but as some have predicted, with more low-end specs.

According to the tweet, the phone will use the same screen size and resolution as the Moto X, and both the front and rear of the body look remarkably similar to Motorola's current flagship.

Motorola Trademarks 'Moto G' For Use With Future Smartphone Models And Accessories

The Moto X marked the spot for the the company's Google-centric rebrand earlier this year, and it looks like the naming convention may stick around for future models. The US Patent and Trademark Office is showing a new trademark filing from Motorola: the "MOTO G." This doesn't indicate that a new phone is coming, but it does mean that Motorola is interested in using that particular name for a future product.
