You can now find your misplaced Samsung products with your Windows PC
The SmartThings app makes it possible, available on the Microsoft Store
The Samsung SmartThings app is getting increasingly more powerful. It has allowed you to control your smart home from your phone for forever, but it has only recently gained the capability to find your misplaced Samsung products, too. Now the manufacturer is making it even easier to spot your lost Samsung phone. SmartThings has just launched in the Microsoft Store, allowing you to find and control your smart home devices right from your Windows machine.
Samsung's trade-in programs are usually pretty appealing, but they're not the most reliable in terms of paying out. If you've been looking to get some decent money out of your new phone, Microsoft Stores are currently handing out up to $650 with in-person trade-ins towards the purchase of a Note10 or Note10+.
Today is the Galaxy Note 10's official release date, with "pre-order" flipping over to "buy" at most websites. With the formal release, many of the early promotional offers are gone, though you can still snag up to $600 off with a recent trade-in via Samsung, and some carriers are still running their own discounts and trade-in programs. While in-store retailer and carrier availability may vary, the Note10 is now available and listed as "in stock" in most places.
And now, for some perspective: Like many of Microsoft's sidecars — the Windows 10 Mobile OS, the Zune music player, cross-platform ecosystems, you get the drill — ebooks from the Microsoft Store have had their day. One of the latest casualties this year was the demise of ebooks from the Microsoft Store. Sales ended on April 2 and we are mere days from when, thanks to digital rights management, every purchased book will disappear from users' libraries.
