Lyft is certainly trying to improve its service and application. With this new update to version 2.13.0, the app enhanced two of its existing options and fixed an issue that users with multiple payment methods must have faced in the past.
First, if you have several credit cards added to your account — say a business one and a personal one — or you also have coupons or Lyft for Work credit, you no longer have to make sure the right option is selected in the app's settings before paying. Read More
A month ago, Lyft announced, almost simultaneously with Uber, its Line ride-sharing service. At the time, Line was only available in San Francisco and accessible from the service's iOS app. The location limitation is still there, but Line has just made its way to the Android side through an update to the Lyft app. Read More
Uber and Lyft have both separately announced two similar but unrelated ways of doing the same thing. In either case, people will soon have the ability to share rides with others in order to cut down on how much they have to pay. Uber's announcement yesterday came first, but the two are too close together for this to not have already been in the works at Lyft as well.
