Don't let the long name and all-caps fool you; the WONDERBOOM 2 is Ultimate Ears' smallest speaker offering. It was announced earlier this month, but prices are already being slashed by $20/20% to $79.99. If the regular BOOM speakers are just too big for your liking, you might want to look into this. Back in April of last year, Ultimate Ears announced that its BLAST and MEGABLAST Bluetooth speakers would be receiving a number of features that they really should have come with out of the box. Nearly a year later, one of those features — grouping — has finally been added with an update to the BLAST companion app. Read More
The Ultimate Ears BLAST and MEGABLAST are good speakers overall, but there were two main areas in which we felt that they weren't quite up to snuff: pricing and features. Logitech has released an update to the Logi Circle app that goes with its Circle security cameras, and for the first time, users will now see an image preview in a notification warning you of detected activity while you're not at home. The Logi(tech) Circle is one of our favorite security cameras next to the Nest, so we had to tell you when we saw it is going for $129, 35% off the original price ($199) at Amazon. It's a killer deal.
The Logi Circle can record at 1080p, so resolution is sharp and precise. Live video streaming is also in HD, so your house is viewable wherever you are, and any video can be recorded or downloaded for 24 hours from Logi's secure, private cloud. Read More
Logitech is older than I am. Not too much older, mind you - the Switzerland-based computer accessory company was founded in 1981 - but old enough that I can remember my dad using a Logitech keyboard on the home-built desktop he ran on a desk in the closet, back when having a computer in the living room was still a social faux pas. When the entire family upgraded to laser mice, an insane and futuristic luxury in the early 2000s, the friendly Logitech logo was emblazoned on all of them.
It won't be anymore. Or at least it might not be. Read More
