Google just started rolling out an updated Google Play Store version 3.9.16 that follows the previous version 3.8.17 from August. Good news, everyone - we've already got our hands on the APK for you to install manually thanks to our loyal tipsters.
The most notable and immediately apparent new feature is the long overdue ability to remove apps you've previously downloaded from the All Apps list. Read More
Well, we now have yet another reason to envy Google I/O attendees - a signed copy of the official Jelly Bean build has just been released on the 'nets, but it seems to only be working on the 'takju' (GSM) Galaxy Nexuses given out at I/O 2012 (or at least those GNs with the IMM30D firmware).
You can grab it for yourself right here, if you're interested in what's inside the 156MB ZIP. Read More
This file is only
for the Sprint Nexus S 4G
. To flash the update, the phone must be stock -
that means no custom ROMs. Rooted handsets are OK, though this might reset root permissions (you just need to re-root). We've included a link to a full, flashable ROM which will probably require a wipe, as well.
If you find yourself still without the Android 2.3.7 (GWK74) update for your Sprint Nexus S 4G, have no fear - we're here to help. Read More
Download: Android Market v3.1.3
) (for all devices - does not

The Market update in this post is meant for phones only - there is no known update to the Honeycomb tablet Market at the moment.
Wow, Google is on a roll with the Android Market lately. Since the release of Market v3.0, a number of small updates have come to the Android Market recently, but this is by far the biggest yet. Read More
The XDA forums are on fire this afternoon after a user posted a thread linking to a Polish Android forum, claiming to contain a download for an official Gingerbread build for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000. Before you get too excited, let me reiterate: this is not for US devices, and I would not recommend trying it on your Captivate/Vibrant/Fascinate/Epic.
That said, the handy development community will get their paws on this and have a field day, so you may be seeing unofficial Gingerbread ROMs for US phones (aside from CyanogenMod 7) start floating around on XDA in the next week or so. Read More
Google may have jumped the gun on announcing that the Android 2.3.3 update for the Nexus One was available - although they did say that it could be a few weeks until the update deployed OTA, it wasn't available for download and install, either. Or, rather, it wasn't until now: the update .ZIPs have been posted and can be downloaded directly from Google.
Obviously, Gingerbread brings a ton of new features, and 2.3.3 builds upon them even further. Read More
The Chrome To Phone Android app, exclusive to Android 2.2 and up, was updated today to version 2.2 with 1 new feature: link history. The app, which lets you quickly and easily send data to your phone from your computer's browser (see our tutorials here: ChromeToPhone, FoxToPhone), now has a single useful screen with links broken down to Today, Last 7 days, Last month, and Older. Here it is:
Unfortunately (or luckily), clipboard history does not show up in this list, so all your passwords and grandma's cookie recipes you might send around are safe. Read More
Admit it - QR codes are useful. And cool. They allow you to instantly get any bit of information, most frequently browser or Market urls, onto your phone - all you have to do is download the Barcode Scanner app from the Market (or any other QR reader) and scan the QR image.
The following post by XDA member scuccia popped earlier today on the HTC Droid Incredible section of the XDA forums:

Everything has been confirmed working. Camera, camcorder, Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, MMS, etc...
