YouTube Go beta is now officially available in India

When YouTube Go was announced last September, the focus was on India and users were asked to sign up to be notified. But then last month YouTube Go made it onto the Play Store unofficially and users around the world were able to download it from APK Mirror and try it out. Some could register their phone numbers and use it fully with the ability to download videos, others couldn't and were limited to streaming. But still, Go wasn't yet officially announced.

Now it is, well at least in beta, and the first official country Go is available in is India.

Truecaller 8 will add video calls from Google Duo, an SMS inbox, and payments in India

Truecaller had its first annual "Stay Ahead" event in India today and made plenty of announcements regarding its app and platform with partnerships across the board. The popular service, which first started as a way to help you identify unknown callers, is now spreading its wings beyond being your complementary phonebook and voice call app.

With Truecaller 8, the app can be your default SMS inbox, handling unknown senders, blocking spam messages and specific numbers, and integrating flash messaging for sending quick requests and bouts of information to your contacts, like your location or an emoji.

Samsung officially launches Samsung Pay for everyone in India

After weeks of teasing Samsung Pay in India, the service was made available to testers earlier this month, but today it's been officially announced for everyone.

Owners of supported Galaxy devices in India will be able to install the Samsung Pay app today and add VISA, Mastercard, and American Express cards issued by Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, and Standard Chartered Bank, with Citibank India to follow shortly. Digital wallet Paytm is also supported, as well the Indian government's new Unified Payments Interface.

Samsung Pay now available in India

As you may know, Samsung has been working on its own NFC payments platform for a while now, fittingly called Samsung Pay. While it shares much in common with Android Pay, Samsung's platform is notable for supporting Magnetic Secure Transmission, which allows payments on terminals without NFC.

Now Samsung has officially made Samsung Pay available in the country of India, with several banks already signed on to support it.
