Wallace & Gromit: The Big Fix Up is an upcoming augmented reality game for mobile, and it's slated for release in the UK in the fall of 2020 and will be released worldwide at a later date. Since this is a fresh announcement, only a few details have been shared, and so far, we know the game will be animated through CG, and that fans will get to join the duo in their latest business venture as an employee of the Spick & Spanners. Ideally, the game will provide a home-based experience (as in this AR game can easily be played at home), and will support the majority of modern smartphones.
Afro-Ninja Productions and Armor Games have teamed up once again to bring a sequel to their successful idle RPG Soda Dungeon to a host of platforms on July 9th. Better yet, the publisher and developer duo have released Soda Dungeon 2 in early access on the Google Play Store ahead of its official launch, leaving PC and iOS in the dust. Much like the original, this sequel is a free-to-play release, which means eager fans can check out the game right now without spending a dime.
Zombieland: Double Tapper is a new release that comes from Sony Pictures, and it's a tie-in product for the Zombieland: Double Tap movie coming to theatres on the 18th. Like most branded titles, this is a free-to-play game, and it's essentially an idle tapper that contains gacha mechanics. So you better believe you can expect heavy monetization that's tied to the game's many loot boxes and currencies, all wrapped up in a title that serves as an advertisement for a movie. That's right. Sony would like everyone to sink money into an advertisement disguised as a game, which just about sums up the current state of F2P mobile gaming.
At the beginning of the year, we learned that the idle RPG Nonstop Knight 2 would be coming to Android sometime in 2019, and in May the title finally went up on the Play Store as a pre-registration listing. As of this morning, Nonstop Knight 2 has been officially released. It's a free-to-play title, just like the original, though there is a lot of new content that allows for expanded gameplay.
Kopla Games created an enjoyable idle RPG called Nonstop Knight, and it was published on the Play Store all the way back in 2016 by Flaregames. Over the last three years, the title has amassed over five million installs on the Play Store and over fifteen million installs across multiple marketplaces. Well, it would appear the devs have a new project on the horizon, and it's a direct sequel to Nonstop Knight. Today Flaregames and Kopla Games have announced that Nonstop Knight 2 will be coming to Android in 2019.
