On your feet soldier, Terminator Genisys: Future War is on the Play Store

On your feet soldier, Terminator Genisys: Future War is on the Play Store

Arnold Schwarzenegger is no stranger to the mobile gaming scene. Two years ago he starred in a Super Bowl commercial for the now popular strategy game Mobile Strike. Schwarzenegger also had his likeness appear in a Glu developed movie tie-in game. Disappointingly, these experiences must have been just the taste he needed of our sweet, sweet in-app purchase fueled market, as there is now a new mobile game bearing his likeness. It is titled Terminator Genisys: Future War, and it is the latest stab at cashing in on the Terminator franchise.

Knights of Pen & Paper 2 goes free-to-play and wipes everyone's save data in the process

Knights of Pen & Paper 2 goes free-to-play and wipes everyone's save data in the process

That is right, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 has gone completely free. It used to be that you had to pony up $4.99 in order to download the game, now you can install it sans moola. Typically people would celebrate being able to download a once paid game for nothing, but in this case, there are plenty of angry users. It would appear this move to a free-to-play app is not free of any casualties.

[Hands-on] The Sims Mobile, an exasperating lesson in patience

[Hands-on] The Sims Mobile, an exasperating lesson in patience

The Sims Mobile just recently soft launched in Brazil. Having written a release announcement the other day, I wanted to circle back and explore the gameplay in order to get a better sense of what this title offers. Do we finally get the Sims us mobile gamers have always wanted, or does EA do the expected thing by pushing out another substandard product? If you couldn't tell from the title, yeah, this is one of the worst games I have ever played.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War washes up on the shore of the Play Store

Ah, it must be that time again. There is surely another big-budget movie on the horizon as a new movie tie-in game has just released on Android. This time around JOYCITY Corp. is the newest publisher to re-skin one of their previous releases. It is quite clear that their naval strategy game Oceans & Empires has been redesigned as Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW. Is a new skin on an old design worth the download? Let's take a look.

Better late than never, an officially licensed Pictionary game is out on the Play Store

Better late than never, an officially licensed Pictionary game is out on the Play Store

I am sure everyone here remembers the game Draw Something. It was a Pictionary-like game released on Android in 2012 by the developer OMGPOP. For years I had wondered why Pictionary didn't cash in on the popularity Draw Something had capitalized on. Now I have to question whether it would have been best to leave well enough alone this late in the game.

To no one's surprise, Disney has released a Star Wars themed match-3 puzzler

To no one's surprise, Disney has released a Star Wars themed match-3 puzzler

I don't know why, but apparently every franchise out there just has to shoehorn its name onto a match-3 puzzle game. We get it, Candy Crush made a ton of money, but can we please move on from this tired genre already? Sadly, it would appear that Disney thinks not. In their latest attempt to cash in on the property they have released Star Wars: Puzzle Droids, a match-3 puzzle game.
