[Hands-on] PixWing - Flying Retro Pixel Arcade, an enjoyable callback to simpler times

PixWing - Flying Retro Pixel Arcade has recently released onto the Play Store and boy have I been having quite a lot of fun with it. It is an arcade flying game that brings back a lot of fond memories of flying around in Pilotwings or Nights into Dreams. The fact that the graphics look like something that was released on the Nintendo 64 or Dreamcast simply adds to its charm.

After a lengthy soft-launch period 'Titanfall: Assault' has officially launched, complete with lower rewards and more costly upgrades

NEXON's Titanfall: Assault is now officially available on the Play Store. More or less it takes the tried and true gameplay from Clash Royale and adds giant robots. While it is billed as "a mobile RTS with fast-paced action and intense PvP battles," you have to wonder how the $109.99 in-app purchases affect the head-to-head multiplayer gameplay.

[Hands-on] Game of Thrones: Conquest, probably the most expensive Clash of Clans clone to date

Game of Thrones: Conquest is the latest soft launch title whose APK I have gotten my hands on for testing purposes. I do this in order to give everyone an idea of what to expect when the game is officially released. While the Play Store listing for Game of Thrones: Conquest is described as a combat strategy game that is most obviously based on the Game of Thrones license, all I could hope for is that it doesn't turn out to be yet another Clash of Clans clone. Apparently I was being too optimistic.

So if you have been patiently waiting for this release, then you will want to hit the Play Store right now and download this sucker already.

[Hands-on] Middle-earth: Shadow of War, a AAA game in name only

Warner Bros. International Enterprises has a mobile version of Middle-earth: Shadow of War that is currently available on the Play Store for pre-registration. Luckily I have gotten my hands on an APK and have sideloaded the game in order to let all of you know how it plays in advance of the title's release.

[Hands-on] The Walking Dead: March to War, a beautiful looking game built around tired free-to-play mechanics

Disruptor Beam has a new free-to-play survival game coming up for release soon. It is titled The Walking Dead: March to War, and it's available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store as we speak. Luckily I've gotten my hands on the APK and have tested it out in order to show everyone what can be expected when it is officially released.

Tales of the Rays is the newest RPG in Bandai Namco's long running Tales series, and it's out on the Play Store

Bandai Namco have released an all new Tales game onto the Play Store. It's titled Tales of the Rays, and it is being billed as a "console quality" release that you can easily play on the go. But what exactly does that mean? Is this title really comparable to Bandai Namco's console games, or is this yet another free-to-play gacha release that was only disguised to look like its console siblings?

Layton’s Mystery Journey is on the Play Store, and yes, you'll have to pay for quality

Anyone familiar with Level 5's Nintendo DS and 3DS puzzle adventure game series Professor Layton should be pretty ecstatic to hear that a full-fledged sequel, Layton’s Mystery Journey, is available on the Play Store today. You'll need to pony up $15.99 in order to download the title, but that's actually a deal when you consider that the 3DS version will cost more than twice as much.

[Update: Officially launched] Hands-on: Futurama Worlds of Tomorrow, a clone of a clone

Alright folks, I have once again found a beta APK to sideload in order to give y'all the scoop of what to expect from an upcoming release. Today I am taking a look at TinyCo's Futurama Worlds of Tomorrow. From a cursory glance it is eerily similar to another one of the developer's games, Family Guy The Quest for Stuff. But the similarities do not stop there. The Family Guy game is actually just a clone of Electronic Arts's The Simpsons: Tapped Out. Clones of clones, what better way to earn money than with someone else's tried and true method.

[Hands-on] Carmageddon: Crashers, a very repetitive game of chicken

Hot off the heels of last year's console and PC release of Carmageddon: Max Damage, Android is receiving its very own new game in the Carmageddon franchise titled Carmageddon: Crashers. This time around Carmageddon is heavily borrowing from NaturalMotionGames's popular CSR Racing and tweaks it into a twisted game of chicken where you purposefully crash into your opponent.
