With Christmas right around the corner, the deals aren't likely to stop for a little while. Take this one, for instance — Amazon is once again shaving some money off the asking price for a U.S. Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Whereas we've seen the phone drop to $500 before, now you can pick one up for $479.99. Even today, that's not bad. Read More
Huawei is a fan favorite of many in-the-know Android enthusiasts. The Chinese electronics manufacturer puts out solid devices that tend to fly under the radar here in the US, like last year's Mate 10 Pro. It's not brand new anymore, but it's still got a lot going on, and it's down to $500 at a lot of retailers. Read More
Huawei's Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro may be the new hotness, but last year's Mate 10 Pro is still a solid performer (with no notch, if that's your thing). The device has been selling pretty consistently for about $550 for several months, but now, it's another $50 off from a bunch of different sellers. Read More
Google's ARCore team just rolled out a new update that appears to bring the augmented reality framework to several more phones and tablets. Some hot new (and upcoming) devices are on the list, like the Galaxy Note9, OnePlus 6T, and ROG Phone. These are also joined by some older models like the Sony Xperia X. Read More
Without a doubt, Huawei can make spectacular devices when it tries. And while recent memory points to the P20/P20 Pro, the Mate 10 Pro from last year ought not be forgotten. And now, you can pick one up for yourself on Amazon for $549.99, complete with a U.S warranty. That's $250 off MSRP, or $100 off the recent sale prices. Read More
Shortly after coming to the U.S., the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is already seeing a nice discount. You can pick up this phone for $649.99, $150 off MSRP, from Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, and Newegg. Honestly, this is a great deal. Read More
Huawei has had a tough time of things in 2018, getting the rug pulled out from under it just before it launched the U.S. version of its flagship Mate 10 Pro on AT&T. The blows just kept coming with Verizon pulling out of a deal, followed by "security warnings" from some of the American government security agencies. While all of the political mess is somewhat fun to look back at and is good for a nice chuckle or two, my focus here is on the phone itself, Huawei's centerpiece. Read More
Magisk, one of the most recognized and well-known rooting solutions around, has just received an update to version 16.0. The update comes just a short week after version 15.4 was released, and includes a bootloop fix, support for Huawei and Honor devices with Treble (the Mate 10, 10 Pro, and View 10), and a few other changes. Huawei has announced that it will sell the Mate 10 Pro smartphone unlocked in the US for $799 in partnership with a number of online retailers starting next month. Best Buy, Amazon, Microsoft, Newegg, and B&H will also all offer $150 gift cards if you pre-order the phone.
Pre-orders of the Mate 10 Pro, which we like overall, will begin on February 4th and run through the 17th. On February 18th, the retail launch will officially get underway.
Oddly missing from today's announcement is any mention of a carrier version of the phone, which many in the industry had expected would be unveiled alongside the unlocked version today. Read More
We've seen plenty of leaks of Huawei's upcoming devices so far. The normal Mate 10 first appeared in September, with dual back cameras and a 5.9-inch screen. Then the Mate 10 Lite was leaked, again with dual back cameras and a 5.9-inch display. Evan Blass on Twitter has now given us a look at the Mate 10 Pro, which looks much different than the other two devices. Read More
